I love malenki’s. I run them in all my 150g bots and they’re very common here in Australia due to their ease of use and light weight. We’ve recently had an Australian builder make his own with better wiring management for the same weight and about half the price. I highly recommend Malenki’s to anyone from brand new builders to experienced builders for 150g bots They do have High Voltage ones too that run on 3 and 4S but I have not tried them as of yet
Malenkis have been around for a while (since 2020 iirc) and became much more popular more recently in the US with the HV version for 1lb ants so I am kinda surprised it took this long for you to find them. Either way they are a new product for Turnabot to sell and it is nice to see such a good product becoming more readily available.
Oh I absolutely love Malenkis! My first 3lb bot I accidentally made the electronics box to small for the electronics I had on hand but I was able to find the Malenki-Nano-Integrated-HV and it allowed me to actually compete with my bot. Absolutely love it and will continue to use it for future bots.
The only reason I can spin a 23g blade on an 1806 with a full bearing support structure on my 150g tomb-clone is because I replaced all the electronics with a Malenki Nano and a single extremely small weapon ESC. Nano’s are truly life changing!
I like to keep things separate. If you lose one esc with the nano you then have to deal with replacing the whole board and binding again. I think they are awesome for less destructive classes but not so good in full combat.
Fantastic work! Well Done! We use those ESCs here in Britain and 3 of my 13 Antweights use the Malenki Nanos. Hopefully, two more Ants will have these once they're finished being built.
I'm also using the Malenki nano in my antweight bots. They are fantastic! Unfortunately, I have to order from UK or USA, so they get quite expensive here in Europe 😥
Thankyou so much for this video, I've had malenki-nanos for a while to use in 150g robots here in Aus but because I'm new to soldering and pretty poor I can't afford to mess it up and haven't attempted to use them yet
i use these in my 1lb antweights, they are great. can have 3 brushed motors and still put servos on easily. the main Nano doesnt like anything above 2s, but they also make high voltage ones to natively use batteries above 2s it's a great alternative to the usual wire squid
Top tip: Put the name of your product in the review. It's a Malenki Nano, it's been a staple of small combat robotics for years, and it's not made by Turnabot (it's from Robson Robotics). I assumed your entire fleet ran on them.
I’m working on a Rex update video right now. I was trying to have it done for this week but hopefully next week. I put Skorpios on hold one of my sponsors is developing a new product that will be game changing in robot fighting. They said I’m supposed to get the first sample and I am waiting for it.
