I'm a big fan of both the 5.7x28mm cartridge, and PSA. I already owned a ruger-57, but the very day I heard about the PSA rock, I went and bought one. I live in Columbia SC and love that it is a local product. Aside from that, the rock fits my hand and feels better than the ruger. Really it is better in every way than the ruger. Great video. Liked and subscribed!
I have owned one of these pistols for some months and I have concluded the thing is a "dog." The trigger weight is seven pounds. This impedes the accuracy of the gun and makes practice with it a major chore. Not to mention the cost of ammunition. I would not recommend that anyone purchase this firearm for this reason. When I tell other shooters what the trigger weight is they are astonished. The mags are cheaply made and difficult to load. I purchased the gun as a carry while walking my dogs. I have been followed by coyotes and jumped on by neighborhood dogs that have gotten loose. I was knocked down and suffered a concussion and spent time in the hospital under observation. I think that for my purpose a 22wmr would be a better choice and have ordered a Walther WMP. Just my opinion, ymmv.
I got one myself. Couple of complaints I had, one is that it's shooting wayyy high. Like 3-4 inches high at 10 yards. Grouping is great though, I got basically get barely sub 1 inch groups at 10 yards with the thing, usually get 2 inch or less groups with 9mm irons. Other complaint I had is the trigger is kinda heavy. It's by far the most crisp striker trigger I've ever had the pleasure of firing, but it is on the heavy side. Recoil feels less than the Ruger 57. Probably far less than the FN 5.7 because of lower bore.
@@BuffRANGE I used both American Eagle and SS198 blue tips from FN. Both were shooting consistently 3-4 inches high. Like it's no big deal, I can switch out for adjustable glock style sights. I did notice the rear sight is up much higher than the front sight, it almost looks like a 5 yard zero for whatever reason.
@@gunfumaster1024 ss198 is the red box with green tip ammo. Do you mean that or ss197sr which is the 40gr load ? If you mean ss198 the red box the 28gr bullet even at 5yds will shoot higher than the 40gr stuff. Like Hank said I’d contact them.
@@BuffRANGE My bad, typo. SS197's, 40 grain blue tips. And dang, zero will vary that much from ammo type to ammo type? My 9mm with a 4 inch barrel doesn't do anything that noticeable between 115. 124 and 147gr rounds.
Always wanted a 5.7 platform but didn’t like the FN ergonomics. Definitely looking like something that could be carried and put in the hands of new shooters and man that price point is mind blowing
Seems like it should have an optics cut to me. Kinda want to shoot one. I'm not 5.7 crazy like everyone and their mom seems to be, but I can see the benefits as I've learned more about what I *misunderstood* to be a suped up 22lr.
I think it is a great duty gun as well. Especially if you have to deal with multiple threats. I use a flashlight, and the omnivore holster attaches to the light
Does anyone have any extra psa rock magazines for sale??? Extremely hard for me to get my hands on em. Reply to this comment so I can give my email info
