The Rock-afire Explosion takes you back with Rolfe's Tribute to Frank Sinatra, and the band's cover of "Don't Let Go" from their classic 1983 Beatles White Album showtape. Watch in full 1080p HD! Copyright 2014 Creative Engineering, Inc.
Mario Velasco it got taken over by chuck e cheese. But these animatronics are still active. They are in storage. Hopefully Aaron Fetcher (the lovely creator of these masterpieces) can get them on stage somewhere again. There was an explosion in the storage area. It melted a lot of the masks sitting about. Even the moon rocker's stage (another creation) was ruined. All the wires that control the animatronics were blown to pieces. Thank you for reading this long reply.
My 7-year-old daughter is fascinated by animatronics, and I couldn't resist introducing her to the Rock-afire Explosion on youtube while explaining to her how I used to watch them on stage at Showbiz pizza when I was her age. Many videos later, she hopes to one day see in person what I took for granted as a kid. :-)
Christopher Covey That's amazing. :) Thank you, sir, for inspiring such joy and fascination in animatronics for your daughter. I have loved these characters since I was little, and they have always been a huge part of my life. I'm so glad people like you are passing the torch to a younger generation.
Rolfe is and will always be my favorite. I love how he's just a cute furry goofball I guess. Yesterday, when I went to my first CEC 3-Stage finally after 11 years of begging, I got special permission from the manager to hug the Chuck E animatronic. I hugged him with all my heart and it made me feel as though I was actually hugging Rolfe rather than Chuck E. Every time I looked at them then closed my eyes I would see the Rock-afire Explosion. It was even more amazing than I ever dreamed! It was so amazing! Let's just say I wish I could go back and hug the Chuck E again because it made me so happy. It was just a magical feeling I don't know how to describe. Oddly enough, it made me want to see the originals before concept Unification even more. While I was there my brother and I kept accidentally calling them all by their original names. For example: I kept calling "Chuck E." Rolfe and I kept calling "PizzaCam" Looney Bird. I was so happy until the manager said they are considering tearing it down and putting up a Studio C Beta Stage. P. S. Before anyone asks, yes I went to the Wilmington NC location.
@@Diego-pl1il Wow looking back at this, it sounds really bad. I didn’t mean anything dirty. I was just an innocent kid really excited about finally getting to see a 3-Stage in person. It was like getting to go to a concert and personally meeting the celebrities you’ve looked up to for most of your life.
The rockafire explosion seems cooler than Chuck E Cheese by a long shot. In my opinion, I feel the rockafire explosion was A LOT more innovative and original with its animatronic characters. They had an animatronic who technically had a hand puppet but it spoke on it's own, and their characters in general, like what they were was great. I mean... a gorilla? That's pretty damn cool. As well as a wolf. The only other animatronic band that I've barely seen footage of that's that original with characters is the circus play house band.
Earl: "Rolfe...you know what you are?" Rolfe: "Yeah...I'm a geek...." Earl: "No, Rolfe, you're not a geek..." Rolfe: "Nope..." Earl: "Nah...YOU'RE A SCREAMING GEEK!" XXXDDDDDDDDDD
I love this so much,the voices for these characters are perfect. Im sorry for the Chuck.e.cheese fans,but this is much much better than Chuck.e.cheeses Can't believe these characters were replaced by Chuck.e.cheese. ;;
My two little cousins and I were watching old Showbiz Pizza commercials. My 9 year old cousin's favorite is Rolfe (like me!) And my 4 year old cousin's is Mitzi. She was really shy about telling me her favorite character for some reason lol.
I can't believe they took these amazing characters and turned them into Chuck E Cheese characters!! They lost so much by doing that. These guys have WAY more character and motions than the Chuck E Cheese ones.
I have stumbled upon The Rock-afire way too late. We didn't have any notable animatronic pizza places in Finland. Animatronics have been a huge thing to me during the recent years though. And, whichever video it was that I first heard about the band from, I'm so glad I watched it. My front page is full of Rock-afire by now and I love it.
I wish these guys were still around, I know there's a traveling show in Ireland, Creative Engineering, And Billy Bobs Wonderland, But NONE are in my state! I wish there was multiple locations. Chuck E' Cheese's has SEVERAL locations in my state though! But I like to come back and watch these and listen to them, and the characters are just AMAZING! Beach Bear, Dook, And Rolfe are my favorite, but anyways, I wasn't even alive when the first Showbiz Pizza was around, And one episode of Gravity Falls had alot of refrereneces of this! I really love these guys and I wish they didn't have to shut down
I love the camera angles in this video. It's a good clip considering I never had a chance to go to one of these places before they went out of business. X3
Fatz: hey somebody shoot that record back there and put it out of its misery The Rest Of The Gang: wait guns are allowed in here? *Aaron shoots the record* Fatz: thank you Aaron Aaron: no problem Fatz
I grew up with 2 Rock afire shows in my area Fun zone & Fun station USA I always wanted to go there as a kid just to check them out, they were so different from Chuck E. Cheese, who I grew up a MASSIVE fan of, however the rock afire always intrigued me.
Look's like Rolfe's nursing some arm injury there! Earl probably bit him, made him a REAL screamin' geek! But really, it'd good Rolfe's holding up so well. Here's hoping for a speedy recovery with the help of Aaron, eh? Here's hoping it's not an injury at all, haha. Thanks for the video! It's great
LOL! I'm laughing so hard at your comment! Yes, Rolfe's right arm had a small leak, and I will be posting the inspection and diagnostics soon! We looked at his mac valve, air feeder, and the cylinders inside his shoulder. His performance was still fantastic, though!
I'm thinking that it was for the eve of distruction green screen effect, since Earl is weating the same Rock'n Roll costume. I could be wrong though. Sin
Bob bluh Yeah, that makes sense. Seems a fair bit light for the green screen effect, but if the color was uniform I guess it shouldn't matter! I'm an animatronics buff, not a special effects buff anyway XD
By my understanding, as long as the two shades match, and you set the program to that shade, it should work with any green! :) And yes for animatronics buffs! There are at least two here.
I can't beleive Earl didn't notice Rolfe playing the record since the frist moment, I mean, didn't he hear him singing before?! it could have made sense if the song was edited to sound SOMEWHAT similar to Rolfe's voice. Either Earl is more dumb than what we believe, or he knew it since the frist moment, and didn't say nothing just to laugh his ass of at he epic fail that was approaching. xD
OH, I saw this show live AT the factory this year for my twelfth birthday, and let me say, I'm pissed off at what Chuck E. Cheese has become and that it should have stayed in hell for replacing these beloved characters with the hellspawn Chuck E. Cheese called characters.
+FalchionOfEternity “Sparkster” Gaming there's still billy bob's wonderland, scandia golf and games, and, of course, creative engineering. as well as a travelling show in ireland.
I was in Las Vegas last month and we were driving on frank Sinatra dr and we went to one of the Chuck E. Cheese's and it was once a 3 stage but it got turned into studio c beta Witch was once shoebox pizza
