HE had to be a heel first before the fans exploded at him and Roman for having the main event instead of Cody. Fans are only okay with him now that he isn't in the main event unfortunately, because WWE just gotta pay off the Cody thing first so that Rock and Roman can have their angle later, it's only fair tbh.

@@spiderguy12 Is it confirmed already? Coz I don't see it happening though. I mean even in kayfabe nature I don't think it's possible coz it would seem like they're trying to soften up Cody (the character) before his actual match against Roman. Doesn't make sense. If I have to guess, I think Rock is just implying in this promo that he would become a special referee for Cody and Roman's match. Rock basically stated that he would use all his powers to make sure someone would go out of Mania as a loser, and what other way he could do that but to become the actual ref, right? Plus I remember a month ago (maybe), a tweet suggesting that Rock should just be a ref has been seen by Trips himself, and he positively reacted to it. He didn't say it's what would happen, it's like he said in his own tweet (non-verbatim) that he welcomes the idea.

But then when he finally is in the "walk out of wrestlemania as a loser" part, he intentionally pointed at Roman, to his left side. Sure, Rock could've stuttered, it's because I bet what he's said isn't scripted, meaning it's not something that he had to memorize backstage. But then again they also have to follow some "pointers" aka those what-to-do lists while they're doing their promos. So I guess it's one of those things that are included in the bullet points, like a "point to Roman while Rock is talking about walking out of Mania as a loser." It's very possible.
What would have made this better is if they played his theme music and then it stopped and the lights went out and you heart that familiar Hollywood theme intro
Too many missed opportunities.. if stone cold doesn't come out at wrestlemania and stop the rock then il riot. They will waste this opportunity to make heel rock useful before he turns face again

Rock and Austin face to face 1 last time... then cody attacks the rock from behind and Austin gives the rock a stunner then cody and roman left in the ring

Damn the wwe us desperate these days. They bring back the rock. Another part timer stealing the spotlight. This is the wwe way to cover upmthe Vince scandal and the fact they couldn't sign any of the top stars that just left NJPW. They failed to sign Will Ospreay, Okada and Merceds. All who are now All Elite. I didn't think the wwe could sink lower than it already is but, they have. It's a matter of time till Cody says screw this I'm out.
