I think it's kind of both. Actors audition for movies to keep their career running, but sometimes characters are just made for the actor like Robin was for Genie, it just depends on which actor they think bests suits to play their characters. Sometimes they have absolutely no clue, auditions, or they have a specific idea of who they want, asking them directly but obviously having a private audition to see if that actor is perfect for the role.
Hey man! Don't know if you'll see this but wanna say thanks for the motivation! I've now created content myself to raise awareness for my terminal illness! Thanks again and have a wonderful 2017! :D
It is a tribe tattoo which he got when he visited his mother's home land ( an island, somewhere east of australia I think although I'm not sure, check his wiki page ).
Yo rock i just want to say u are my idol , i'm 18 years old and i was 275 lbs and now i'm 187 lbs , i have a lot of your shirts and i wear them every single day at the gym , thank u for inspiring me to do this .
Dwayne was already an actor before Hollywood as a professional wrestler, he is best known in the WWF/WWE as The Rock character. An Elvis Presley knockoff who wore Versace dress clothes, had a similar hairstyle with the sideburns and spoke in the 3rd person. His taunts were a raised eyebrow and his most famous catchphrase is "Can You Smell What The Rock is cooking" and when he talks he always says "The Rock Says this" "The Rock Says Know Your Role and Shut Your Mouth" and calls his opponents "Jabronies" which is a insult for a nobody or an idiot. Then Hollywood took notice and then that's how he started appearing in movies and other TV shows non wrestling related. But he still makes guest appearances in the WWE every once in a while but he is for the most part retired from wrestling and does acting full time now.
Dear Rock, I am 13 and have Aspergers Syndrome and I've always lived your in ring work as face or heel, whenever I'm feeling sad or not motivated I can always watch your channel and it will make me happy, and I also love your story on how you became the legend you are today and when I think of that it makes me want to keep pursuing my dream of one day being a professional wrestler, you probably won't read this but I wanna say keep up the good work and stay awesome
Hamdan Hassan You shouldn't really ask those type of questions as it can lead to emotional distress, but he probably would felt traumatised and heartache. I know I did when I lost my friend
Aman Preet because his Dad used the name Rocky Johnson. And when he started out he called himself Rocky Maivia as an homage to his Dad & Grandad (High Chief Peter Maivia), but after his heel turn and alliance with the Nation of Domination, he refused to be called anything other than the Rock
I have graduated from a four year college institution and have experience in my field with helping people achieve results and understand where to start on their journey
That motivational speech was like listening to a learning support teacher telling somebody with down's syndrome they can be president if they just work hard enough.
Rock, I am a big fan and you're one of the biggest inspirations to me, what is some good advice for someone going through depression and severe anxiety? PS: When you said "I Don't Like Bullies" and beat the shit out of the guys in Central Intelligence, It resonated with me
Mr. Johnson, any advice on how to handle a difficult break up and a broken heart? My fiance and I broke things off a few months ago and I still feel pretty shitty.
He used to called Rocky Maivia in his earlier years when he started wrestling which came from two famous wrestlers in his family but that character didn't work so he changed his name to The Rock.
Elite Gamer why? Wrestling logic dictates you shouldn't retire on a win. And in that first match they had, Brock needed a win to cement his position as SmackDown's top heel. If anyone should beat Lesnar it should be a guy like Cesaro or Rusev, to really cement them as Main Eventers, and if the Rock should face anyone it should be a young guy with loads if charisma like Enzo Amore
I am a big fan of yours and I have been following your work since 2004, I am 17 years old and I am trying to be the best person possible thanks to your work and how much you have inspired me, my childhood was not easy, but I was abandoned by my family, I went Adopted and now live well, had everything to get in the wrong way, but spent the afternoon watching your matches on wwe and was just happy doing this. You are my great hero and I love you very much, I am Brazilian so I'm sorry if some thing is wrong, I love you very much and thank you for all your work.
His first tattoo was the Brahama Bull that was on his arm. I know this because back when he wrestled he had since 1997 or 1998. He had it because one of his wrestling nicknames is the brahama bull. He started adding the tribal tattoos in 2003 possibly late 2002 after August. He added the tribal tattoos because of his samoan bloodline.
Rock I'm your biggest fan, I've seen every match!!!! Honestly my friends think I'm a crazy WWE rock lovin kid 😂 when will we next see you in the ring !!
Dwayne Johnson aka the rock, you are my lifelong favorite person in the world. you are an amazing man. I hope and wish one day i can meet with you and just hang out and talk.
They don't hate each other anymore but back then they did, John Cena insulted The Rock for leaving the WWE for Hollywood but turning around and saying it was his home and he'll never leave but hadn't made a single appearance in a long time, this was in 2008 or 09. Then when The Rock returned two years later in 2011, he responded to what John Cena said about him which set up the feud between the two for 3 years and they had two WrestleMania matches against each other.
He does RU-vid for the fans, he doesn't do it for the money, you can't make money off of somebody else's content. That's why he was popular before RU-vid existed.
Dwayne Johnson I'm a 15 year old boy in children's home in London.. your my inspiration and your the one who keeps me going.. when are you coming to London next ?. Your the best dj
"Tell me how I can achieve results like you have..." "Years and years and years of working hard, continue to push yourself..." -and steroids. Don't forget about those :P
Look Rock I aint much of a person to be loved but best thing is if your reading this I made it throuhg life. I have been burned with cigs and beaten with a wooden paddle when i was a small baby from Kazaksthan. Gotta say I dont remember much. But I am 14 and I am starting to train and i am proud to say you are my inspiration to be a good man and to heal my scars of torment and abuse. And just over all you are a great man and have a lovely day.
Omar Bassala it's scripted. The crazy things that happen backstage and who wins the matches are all planned. The actual wrestling is real but the crazy finishers are fake
It's a little bit of both, the drama and the storylines between the two wrestlers who hate each other and want to beat somebody up, is written by people backstage who create the show. The winners and the losers are also planned in advance. The actual wrestling matches themselves are real but the wrestlers aren't really trying to hurt one another, they have to time the moves in a way where it doesn't legitimately hurt but injuries can still happen from accidents.
Being a father, your very protective of your childern. So what if your oldest daughter told you she was dating someone at this very moment? How would you react?
Hi D.J., I know this is probably far fetched but do you ever do meet and greets? I assume you are far too famous for that but you have so many millions of fans that would LOVE to get the chance to meet you!
Funny to see a huge movie star randomly doing Q&As ;) How is he acting in so many movies, spending hours in the gym, and still able to make RU-vid vids, :/
great video man, like the way you stay positive and stay motivated. I love personal training and body building. I have been trying to get my career off the ground but its been tough. Can you offer any advice that will help me with client base and staying open for specific opportunities that i should keep my eyes out for? Thanks
You know, I've got to say this. Most likely person for the rocks dad- Yul Brynner. I couldn't help but say that and just had to say that. I was watching a video of Yul Brynner today that showed Yul Brynner all throughout his life and damn I can't get over how much he looks like the rock and how much the rock looks like him and they even have and do the same facial expressions, same eyes, everything. Yul Brynner could easily pass for the rocks dad. If you didn't know that Yul Brynner wasn't the rocks dad you would think he was.
Hey Rock. You and your attitude have been an inspiration for me since childhood. Thank you for being a wonderful human being. Are you coming to India, anytime soon?
Question for The Rock: Are performance enhancing drugs commonly used in the film industry in preparing for a "muscular" role? Not specifically you, but just in general. (No, I'm not some hater blaming his gains on steroids for those that think that, just very curious. I know he works very hard.)
Do people find that you are arrogant and pompous, if they do what do you say to them? In my opinion, if you got it, you got it, continue being the you only you can be! Love you!
Hey dude, which tips can you give to stay as much as possible on that motivation mental state? You know it's hard to daily be the hardest worker in the room when you have tough lifetime goals.
