Extreme quality multi-piece and even telescopic rods I’ve used in Japan completely shattered my prejudices against any rods that weren’t one piece. I don’t think ever saw any single piece rods when I was there

Def medium power rod is perfect for fishing the bay. Been catching mak on the high low glow at Coronado pier lately, same bay diff spot! Still saving for the Coastal SV TW..

I bought this exact same rod from Digitaka in Japan for 97 usd shipped. Incredible value and very nice rod. Casts very far and nice sensitivity. Very light. I also have the TIDRIFT 5G TD5-862L/ML by Majorcraft for about 220 USD shipped which is lighter and simply amazing. Majorcraft makes amazing value rods.

Thank you for the tips and lure selection yesterday at the tackle shop. We ended up on silverstrand got a small perch on the 3rd cast. Your knowledge about the bay and surrounding areas is just awesome. Hopefully run into again someday at the harbor. Thank you again and finally got to meet the local legend. Kevin

Just saw some keitechs at my local sportsman s warehouse here in az I was impressed they had them as BPS didn't. Gona get some next time. Cool video. The Crostage looking good and doing work.

BPS has their own baits that are similar to the Keitechs. Forget the name but I've seen them. Much cheaper but not the same.

Nice! I need those grabbers. That Mac I caught was shaking everywhere lol Also got scales all over my hand 😂 Was there this past weekend on Sunday and girlfriend caught a Perch, I caught a baby ray. Was my first one and tried my best to not get stung. Safely released back though.

I will always recommend Harbor Island. No matter what. Prefer morning or evening only. Noon/afternoon isn't the best there.

My one piece rod's all stay on my yak, but I travel often and carry a 4 piece Diawa and a 3 piece Penn. Honestly the multi piece rods are just as good (especially spinning rods) unless you're fishing finesse baits and you need the feel of a one piece.

My BFS rods are all two piece ultra light rods. Been running it for years. But I can see some shorter trout rods being one piece. Even my BFS rod is only 6'4", it's still a 2 piece.

Daiwa tatula 200 or daiwa coastal 150? Witch do you prefer?

Depends on the platform. For basic bay fishing, 150 is perfectly fine, it also has the SV spool which is what you're really paying for. Tatula 200 for inshore is also fine. Cheaper due to no SV spool. Do some research on the sv concept by daiwa, that should narrow down the specs for your needs.

Take a gander at Adams ‘Die Hard Fishing’ for good content by a classy guy. If you said ‘mother suckers’ I apologize for my misunderstanding but it sure sounded like ‘mother F---s’. You seem like an alright guy otherwise. You seem to be an excellent angler and a good teacher.

I do this for fun and for pure entertainment and some education for the viewers. There are tons of RU-vidrs that are more family friendly with their content, by all means, watch their content. Trust me, I used to be a lot worse in my earlier days of RU-vid. You have a wonderful day now.

If you knew Tony on a personal level, he’s a really nice guy. He has a passion for fishing and to help other people with techniques that works for him. Might work for you fishing the bay. We all get excited when we’re doing something we love! I think the worse thing I’ve heard him say in his videos is “shit”. He puts content out there for the people to watch and learn. He doesn’t get paid for this. He’s not a fake person at all! He’s probably one of the realist people I know. If you don’t like it move on….
