The Role of Peer Support in Recovery from Dependency and Addiction 

Willing, able, and asking the right person to help. Me too, when I was an RN I had access to the best treatment programs, but I wasn’t willing to stop. I didn’t even stop when my addiction took away everything, RN to felon. Then it SEEMED almost impossible. When I finally hit my own personal rock bottom I finally became willing, however, it took many trail and errors MANY. I’m clean now and forever grateful. No meetings or no treatment NOT the norm and this won’t work for everybody, I want to help people unlock their minds the way I did spiritually/ mentally in CONJUCTION to treatment, probably more effective and decreases the trail and error period (which is dangerous Bc you are lapsing with a lower tolerance Bc of actively trying to quit). The acknowledgement of a disorder and the willing to change it is just the beginning, I will finally feel fulfilled when I can just help even just one person. Thanks for sharing.
