I can almost hear you sigh I can almost hear you cry On every crowded street All the places we would meet What will I do without you They say that life goes on I'm feeling sorry for myself I can't belive you're gone You acted much too calm You turned on all the charm You had a cold look in your eyes I can feel your tongue on mine Silky smooth like wine I'm living with those memories That's all that's left of you and me I can almost hear you sigh Almost hear you cry When you made sweet love to me And you turned on all the charm Acted much too calm You had a cold look in your eyes Did it mean nothng Was it all in vain Was I just your fool Or was the pleasure pain Have you set me free Or will I wake up In the morning And find out it's been a bad dream Come on, I beg you I want to be your main man I can almost hear you sigh Almost hear you cry When you make sweet love to me Almost see your smile It stretched half a mile You had a stone cold look in your eyes

Vitreous Lamella I couldn't agree with you more. I don't remember if this song even got air play, but it sure should have. I had this, (ICR if it was a CD, cassette or Album, whew, I'm sure telling me age) "Steel Wheels!" I think that it was truly underrated, for it had some great songs. This song was 1 of my favorites. In the Fall of 91', I was in love & lust, with the man that I thought was my soul-mate. I moved in with him in December of that year, married him 2 1/2 years later, had a child together 2 years after that. In 99',we moved to the beach and we broke each other's heart, & started out divorce proceedings, which took 21/2 years to complete. I remarried one of the sweetest & kindhearted men that ever existed, and I love him so much. Yet, for whatever reason my ex, has and will eternally have a huge part of my heart. I have been in Therapy, to a Physchiatrist who specializes in Marital issues,Counseling groups!, discussed this with my Primary Doctor, and I have done exactly what I was told, yet I can't let go. I have NO control on what I dream, and I dream both good & bad about him, @ least 3x's a week. WOW, I can't believe that I am texting all this, after just hearing this song. I am not a young lady, but in my early 50's. I must be absolutely crazy. Thanks for letting me vent, on here. Maybe this will help someone, I hope if you're in a relationship, and believe that you're with your Soul-mate, give it your best. Do EVERYTHING that you can, to work it out. Be certain "that your relationship is definitely over, and that there's no going back." Don't get into a new relationship (I wasn't looking for anyone, he found me, and he loved my 5 year old daughter. He's been an awesome Father to my girl. My ex is so hurt with me, and loathes my husband, he said "I can't see you again, and he's in Control of you both. You're on your own. I truly thought it was an empty threat; yet I knew him so well. I wanted to wait years, before I remarried. DON'T let your friends talk you into it, with their words "You're so blessed to have a man that loves you & your child." "You'll learn to love him, and it will only get better." "How could you say no to him, he adores you." Have "the guts & strength to say, not now, maybe later." I've never learned to say," NO! Mean it!" Okay, this crazy woman is thru. All of this from hearing this song. Forgive me. 😊❣❣

@@mikebarooshian7255 Steel wheels was a fucking awesome album! I do agree with you to an extent. After Bill yes the Stone were not the same in there music. Although I quite enjoyed Voodoo lounge, and there are a handful of songs from that album that I love, it wasn’t “The Stones,” if that makes any sense? With Bill gone, and it was just the 4 of them left I still physically saw them as the Stones, but not in the music. Now Charlie’s gone, and I don’t see it anymore. I saw them in concert last year 3 months after Charlie died, and it was just super sad to not see Charlie behind that drum set. It was still an amazing concert! It won’t ever be the same, and I’m almost 1000% positive that the boys feel the same way😢 I’m so very sorry about your dad. 2 years ago I know feels just like yesterday to you. @@haumea420 I’m a huge stones fan since I was 13 and now I’m 53 I loved steel wheels great stones album voodoo lounge was a very decent album nice songs but voodoo lounge was still missing Wymans basslines and I seen the stones in concert lots of times my first stones concert ever was steel wheels in 1989 at the coliseum in La Ca guns and roses opened for the stones amazing show all never forget that day and I seen the voodoo lounge tour 1 time it was a good decent show not the best but it was very good from that time after Wyman left the stones for decades and decades they were never never the same once Wyman left and I’m a huge stones fan I own all there cds let’s get real the stones need Wyman no bass player can replace Bill ask Geddy Lee or ask anyone whose a bass player No Wyman no Stones the stones were never the same without Wyman ever time I went to see the stones I felt like I didn’t belong there I knew they lost a huge part of there sound I felt like when Bill left the band was over the end and they never did get back on track again and now Charlie has passed away he’s no longer with us and now I don’t think there really is no point or reason for the stones to continue even without Charlie let’s get real with Charlie’s passing the band is officially over the whole band should of hung it up decades and decades ago after steel wheels when Wyman left in the early 90’s

@@mikebarooshian7255 Bill is one hell of a bass player! And no one ever could replace him in the Stones no matter how good they are. I wish I could have gone to a Steel wheels concert considering that album is my favorite one! I was only alive during the Still life tour, and Dirty work album. I learned about all the albums before those ones later in life in the early 90’s. When you listen to everything before Steel wheels that was the real Stones. After Steel wheels the sound and vibe was never the same. Oh how I wish I could of gone to a Steel wheels concert. Had it on VHS though. Was it your mom or dad who turned you on to the Stones? For me it was my mom. She had every single album. But the one that stuck out the most when I was little was the cover of Mick Jaggers solo album Primitive cool. Played it and I was a fan ever since. My mom showing me Mick’s greatest accomplishment the Stones Steel wheels and I became an even bigger fan.

While stopped in traffic, I had this song blasting in my car. When a cop walked up to my window I thought he was going to tell me to turn it down. Wrong. He wanted to know the name of the song and who sang it, and said it was a great song.
