My word. They're the 'definite rock n roll band' with few peers. A band that just about invented rock n roll & have the staying power, few have. Not many can play a 'true rock band can play like the stones'. I think it's testament to their songs, that's enduring, Mick's great showmanship, Charlie's great drumming, Ron & Keith's great guitar playing, that's made them THE GREATEST LIVE BAND OF ALL TIME.
I just love the way how a bunch of guys easily old enough to be my grandfather are WAY cooler than any musician younger than 40 these days. Completely amazing.
It's so phenomenal at their age. I read all these comments that mock them, because of their ages. Are they jealous that they can't do what the Stones keep doing?. Maybe. The truth's if any band can still play relatively well & they do, then take it to the very end, as Keith once said.
I was 14 years old when this song made its appearance. Today at 67 years old, I still enjoy every moment of it. The Rolling Stones, all members still original since the beginning. They dont come like this any more. Long live the Stones. And may we all continue jumping. It's a Gas!
There will never be another band like the Stones, ever. Neither with as many hits, neither with as much influence over DECADES, and hardly that could last almost to their 80s, still together, and still playing like if they were young. It's too much for any other band to even try to get close to all the things that the Stones have achieved. Having the privilege of seeing these legends performing live is an experience for a lifetime.
THE STONES , A BAND FOR ALL AGES, BEEN LISTENING TO EM FOR 60 YEARS, WILL BE LISTENING TO EM FOR THE NEXT 60 YEARS. PEACE TO YOU ALL MY FRIEND'S. 🙏✌️😎🏴
It's so strange to see Charlie who looks like a little adorable old sir, instead he is the drummer for the greatest rock n roll band of all the times ahahah
The Rolling Stones had one drummer for 50+ years: the inimitable debonair Charlie "Chalkie" Watts. So regal behind the drums. He never had to do a drum solo. Still trying to get my snare to sound like his, and his tom tom(s). And to just play the most rock steady time like Charlie.
Best fucking gig I've ever been to. I've never been to a gig where you could feel such anticipation before they came on. 3 rows of people from the front, i was only a few metres from them when they walked to the front of the stage... i'll never forget it and I'm so glad to have seen them
I got so exited during the afternoon watching Primal Scream and following that, waiting for them to come on, that i got hammered on a bottle of gin I had in my bag. I can’t remember this. But from what I’m told I had a fucking whale of a time.
You've hit the nail on the head! The excitement felt when it's near the time for them to take the stage is just so palpable. Once seen, never forgotten!
I completely agree. People were talking about nothing else all festival and by the Saturday the whole pyramid stage field just seemed to be waiting for them. It was packed. Chuck in a days worth of warm beer and cider and what ever else takes your fancy and by the time they hit that stage at sunset, the whole place just took off. It was like a bomb went off. I have never experienced a gig like it. The best I'll ever see.
The stones are true to themselves and their music 🎶 🎵. Ty for keeping rock and roll alive and well. It's your unique style and sound is what kept us glued to the radio. Ty,for 62yrs of rock excellence 🎉🎉
Still amazing. This is not sad. The sadness will be when they can no longer do this. How many other bands are still rocking at this level fifty repeat FIFTY years later? No other bands are.
Kasper Banditten Larsen-Rothmeier No you can't as STATUS QUO rock for more than the Stones do these day, The QUO are the hardest working band you could find. QUO tour every year, the Stones do NOT. QUO still sell out even though they are on the road every year, imagine the frenzy for tickets if they toured once a blue moon like the Stones. 50 YEARS AND STILL ROCKING THE MIGHTY QUO.
Loved this perfect performance I watched this big thing headliners wow moment right there always magical truly amazing hllRolling Stones Yes !!⭐️💯💜🎵🎼🇬🇧⭐️✨️🥰
I must admit that when I was younger I was not a stone's fan but it was roughly round about the year 2000 when I turned 40 that I started to appreciate what they did and achieve I mean they've outstretched the Beatles in that category RIP Charlie Watts one of England's finest drummers 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧 4:41
I was there. When they said ‘please welcome the Rolling Stones’ I looked at my brother and said ‘here we go, hold on tight!’ It was magic. The whole festival was building up to these guys. When they came on the place lifted off. Still hands down the best night I’ve ever had. They’re the best of all time.
Siempre vas a estar presente charlie querido! Nunca una bateria va a sonar igual a la tuya... por mas que hayan bateros mas virtuosos Charlie es unico e incomparable.. hacer de un ritmo simple como el rocanrol un sonido unico que nadie logró imitar yal cual suena!!
Charlie is so strange like He is just sitting there looking like a adorable grandfather while the others still carrying a rockstar and rebel image. I mean i Love this difference about him and the others its funny
I think l may already have said. He said he never lived the typical rock star lifestyle. And l guess he does look like the grandfather in the band. It's probably because he hasn't dyed his hair. Yet, he's only 2 years older than Mick and Keith, and 6 years older than Ron, who's the youngest. If Bill Wyman was still there, he'd be the eldest.
Ohne diese Jungs geht gar nichts.Hab schon viele auf-und absteigen gesehen-einfach immer gut drauf!Jedes Konzert ist ein Erlebnis. Ich bin froh und stolz, diese Musik zu kennen und zu lieben.
hafiz alfarisy name a band that came out in the 10 years that are better than The Rolling Stones. Hell I even put them over Guns N Roses. Slash is the only reason why I somewhat liked GNR. Axl Rose has to be the biggest Dick in rock music. The rest of the band had talent, but Axl Rose was the link. Mick Jagger could kick Axl Rose's ass even at his old age.
+hafiz alfarisy he isn't really... look at say 'comparable' bands of the last 10-20 years such as arctic monkeys, oasis, kasabian, etc, they are all no where near the stones and in terms of live performance oasis and arctic monkeys just stand still and do fuck all unlike mick jagger jumping all over the place like a mad cunt at his age
The opening song at a Glastonbury set, and guess what? The Stones blew 100,00 fans mind! They have some sort of magic kinetic energy when they play live. Who cares if they're old and wrinkly now? They have the greatest back catalogue ever.
Take a good look at this lot as their a dying breed, not just their talent but no bands will have the hunger to stay around for as long as they’ve been around.
Jakartaman So you've seen them with Brian Jones, Mick Taylor and Ronnie Wood. Good stuff! If 2013 Glastonbury and Hyde Park is anything to go by, Melbourne this November should be very good indeed. Mick just seems to get better as the years go by. I still can't work out whether Keith is a top guitarist or not. He seems to have a laid back simplistic style which is arguably unique and therefore puts him up there with the guitar greats. I just wish they'd write a few more good songs like Doom and Gloom to go with their earlier stuff.
SimonThe1st Have you seen them yourself? Because if you haven't, Australia and New Zealand at the end of this year could well be it. But let's hope not.
Seeing The Stones in concert should be on every human being’s bucket list, it was on mine and I was lucky enough to see them twice in 2021 By far the greatest shows I have ever seen in my lifetime
I keep coming back to these vids and counting my lucky stars to be able to say I was there watching. Never thought I'd get the chance to see the Stones and lucked out getting tickets to Glasto in the resale that year! Chic and Rolling Stones on successive nights at the greatest festival in the world :) one of the best festivals I've been to by far.
The contrast between Charlie and the other three is so funny like, I still remember how shocked I was when I discovered he was the Rolling Stones drummer cause he's so calm and sweet, lmao
My I showed my nana this because I was having trouble getting her out the house, I said you see that look at their energy you maybe don't have that energy but it's better to be like that than to sit depressed all day and she did come out for walks with me
There are lead singers there are guitarists there are drummers there are lyricist but there’s only one greatest Rock n roll band in the world and when they all depart into the spirit world I just can’t see anybody topping this lot
In 1969 when I was dancin' to this at the club, who would have thought I'd still be dancin' & singin' away in 2014? Congrats, Stones, and to all us baby boomers!!
My mates wanted to go and see the Stones in 1982 but I thought they were too old and decided against it. In 1999 my wife got me tickets to see them at Murrayfield in Edinburgh for my birthday and they blew me away. Wish I had gone to see them in ‘82 now……
I was lucky enough to see them at Glasto and I can't decide whether I liked this song or Gimme Shelter better. I've been to many gigs and festivals over the years (I'm 25 years old) and this was definitely the best live performance I have ever seen. This clip doesn't capture the atmosphere in the crowd at all.
Super groupe, toujours aussi "pêchu" malgré leurs nombreuses décennies . Bravo, il faut le faire lorsque je vois des jeunes qui sont déjà "éteints" à 30 balais !
