My name is Jane i was 21 years old when this very fine classic came out . I was in love with a bloke who was older than myself he was a complete bully in every respect . The only good thing was he called me Lady Jane xx All these decades on i still love him , however i thought more about myself ,, No THank you jANE 21/11/22🌹
As a Beatles fan I've always been an admirer of the Rolling Stones. Through the years I began to love them more and more.60 years of Rolling Stones: RESPECT!!!
This particular song will always aspire to the beautiful memory of the charming and exceptionally talented Brian Jones. It hits home that way... very haunting memory. Ty for that.
I would pay big bucks to see them on a tour that regularly dug deep like this instead of playing the "hits." I know the economics don't permit that, but I can dream.
John Barry i know wat u mean saw them the other week in Southampton England the other week just got the hits which is great but really fans want lesser known classics like this
They kind of did that already with their 2002 tour, they played three types of shows...Stadiums, Arenas, and Club gigs.....the club gigs had a few rarities like "Hot Stuff", etc. The rehearsal list on that 2002 tour was something else! They practiced songs off of every single album! stuff like "Flight 505", "Fool To Cry", and "Slave". I really wish some of those rehearsal tapes would leak out sometime soon as I'd love to hear them. Sometimes they'll dust something off every tour.....they played "Sway" on a few 2006 dates for instance.
So British, so dang haunting..even after almost 60 years since it appeared as the B side of Mother’s Little Helper. Still really love Brian Jones RIP and his lovely dulcimer work on the original. 🎶🎶🎶
Imagine a Stones concert with a set list that includes "Flight 505", "I Am Waiting", "Back Street Girl", "My Obsession", "All Sold Out", "We Love You", "Citadel", "2000 Man", "Child Of The Moon", "Jigsaw Puzzle", "I'm Going Down", "Dancing In The Light", "Sweet Black Angel", 'Turd On The Run", "Soul Survivor", "Comin' Down Again", "Winter", "Criss Cross", "Scarlet", "Time Waits For No One", "Hey Negrita", "Indian Girl", "Slave", and "Heaven"--all superb songs I don't think they've ever attempted on stage, ever.
Hey, given the right fee, the Stones do private performances. Back in 2002, they did some billionaire's birthday party for $7 million. In 2024 dollars, that would be $12 million. Perhaps they'd charge a little more, since they were on tour at the time and their next date was close to the party venue; I imagine they'd charge a bit more if they weren't on tour or had to go further out of their way (Mick didn't waste his education at the London School of Economics). And probably a bit more for a bespoke set list, since the birthday party set list was a cut down of their tour set list. Nick didn't make the Stones rich by not keeping a sharp eye on the bottom line!
There are so many great songs the Stones never played live. Go to their concerts and it’s the same old same old. Just there hits! I would love to go to one of their concerts and hear tracks off their albums we’ve never heard live before.
John DeAngelo Well said you are correct... sick of hearing hits....do themselves no favours..repeat concerts ...what a backlog of jagger Richards songs the younger generation have never heard....should arrange a concert playing such songs and let the younger generation hear how good they really are.. old stones fan from come on days.
@@geoanggfr the only problem is new fans are not going to be familiar with the rare racks they come to hear the songs their parents made them listen to. I also don't agree that they keep playing the same songs over and over. Just this past summer they played Harlem shuffle, have mercy, like a rainbow and,sad sad sad.
I was at the concert at the Royal Albert Hall in 1966 where 'the Stones' played Lady Jane for the first time in public. Wonderful. Still, one of my favourites but it's not the same without Brian Jones
Last time this song was preformed there weren’t as many face wrinkles. Love these dudes! Stones rock and the Stones roll! Great video. Miss Brian Jones though!
I'm not searching for it , but They did this on a TV show , live, back when they first came out with this song. I don't think I've heard it since .Beautifully done and a beautiful song !
OMG, what a treat this is to see & hear, thank you for posting Meta-Ya. This is an amazing performance of one of my fav's, and further evidence of the greatness of The Rolling Stones.
Brian was the true founder of the band and got fired. They also used Mick Taylor and refused to give him residuals. Mick Taylor was actually the best guitarist they ever had!
@@philmontejano5971 Brian was great. But got fired because he was so doped up at the time and really couldn't play anything at that point restraining them during recording sessions. This went on for a while before they actually gave him the shove out.
Sempre immensi Stones. Loro sono il mito, la leggenda.
Beautiful song first time I heard it I was 10 yrs old was summer 78. My mom had got live if u want it. Than that same summer my aunt had aftermath . N I heard studio version . 60 s was great Era. Brian's Era was very melodic . Creative I guess with different sounds n experimenting. God bless them
My sweet Lady Jane When I see you again Your servant am I And will humbly remain Just heed this plea, my love On bended knees my love I pledge myself to Lady Jane My dear Lady Anne I've done what I can I must take my leave For promised I am This play is run, my love Your time has come, my love I pledge my troth to Lady Jane Oh, my sweet Marie I wait at your ease The sands have run out For your lady and me Wedlock is nigh my love Her station's right my love Life is secure with Lady Jane

Je me demande: est-ce que le coeur de chacun d'entre eux épreuve quelque chose en jouant cette chanson? Le Phantome de Brian Jones et son dulcimer survolent la scène...
If there were such things as Ghosts then they would have the Ghost of Brian Jones play the Dulcimer for this song like he used to back when he was Alive.
