This is the first drive of the new Rolls Royce Cullinan SUV. It's the first time Rolls Royce have made a four wheel drive car. The V12 engine in the Cullinan is very similar to that of the new Phantom and has the now familiar 6.75-litre twin-turbo petrol V12 developing 563bhp and 627lb-ft torque.
Cullinan is with out doubt the most luxurious SUV on the market, the inside of the Cullinan is an outstanding combination of open pour wood and the best quality leather in the world making it a true Rolls Royce experience.
In this video i drive the new Rolls Royce SUV both on road and off road and review the car together with Sam from Seen Through Glass.

Only SUVs with 12 cylinder engines I can think of are Bentley Bentayga (W12), Mercedes-Benz G65 AMG (V12), Volkswagen Touareg (W12), Audi Q7 (W12 TDI) and Lamborghini LM002 (V12), only one is still in production and it's a W12, not V12 (Bentayga) but the others aren't really luxury SUVs even if they were still in production, hats off to Rolls-Royce for making only V12 vehicles (Phantom VIII, Ghost, Wraith, Dawn and Cullinan)

RR is smart for releasing the cullinan when they did. right after the g65 went out of production so they will soak up all those potential sales and they aren't about to let bentley take the whole luxury SUV market. was timed perfectly

the audi had a V12 diesel... and it was far from luxurious inside. the bentayga has a W12 and isnt as good offroad.

Bentayga is a W12 not V12 and Q7 was only a tdi V12 so dont count. Just narmal V12 RR has it.

Hey JWW - Another AWESOME video:-) For anyone NOT having seen this GORGEOUS Beast up close & personal I must say that I was very pleased exploring various specked SUV's available at the LUXURIOUS launch in Vancouver, Canada in May 2018. The LUXURY, OPULENCE, COMFORT and the ease in which it accelerates and knows exactly which gear is best as aided by the Sat Nav is all just so relaxing. All of your worries go away as you bath in the seat, the ride, the quietness of the experience. Really a BEAUTIFUL vehicle - a BIG one- But just simply the BEST for luxury, refinement and opulence. The Bentley Bentayga is on much lower level of luxury than a RR Cullinan. RR uses for all Models a all aluminium-plattform and the interior is specially made for RR. The Bentayga is basically a VW Touareg with better leather and wood in the interior, but still with all the sam buttons from VW only with a chrom-frame.

It was here till this year for the bi-turbo and last year for the pure V12. The new models just came out a few month ago and it isn't clear if there will be V12 version. traditionally they are the last to get added to the G-Classes.

The Bentayga has Bentley’s W12, Audi has the Q7 also offered a 6.0 litre twin-turbo V12 (All be it Diesel) James oh and the 2018 AMG G 65 Wagon, also a V12 Bi-Turbo :o This RR is a monster though, looks like something from the Thunderbirds lol

No... unfortunately, Porsches last V12 was the 1973 model 917. The most cylinders in a 21st century-porsche were to be found in the Carrara GTs V10

The thumbnail it looks more purple think thats from editing, but in purple would look amazing. In the video looks more burgundy, not bad just not as good as the photo look in purple. The blue one looks good as well. Any way good video like all ways keep up the good work. thanks

AMG make reliable engines which produce more power and in the S series are seriously smooth. Just think in this day and age they could have pushed it a bit more on a 2 ton plus vehicle.

That front end, I don't know what they should do to it but it seems like there's too much of a harsh line between the Rolls grill and the section below, like the designer was trying to hard to mimic the Phantom.

Superb looking vehicle and oh so British. Didn't you fellows say OFF ROAD? What I saw was a well formed gravel road. Ten years ago I took my 7 Series BMW to Bramwell Station on Australia's Cape York peninsula, some 600 kms north of Cairns, now that's off road! Check the place out on Google maps. The Beema performed perfectly as I'd expect from the Rolls. But then again, I'm an Aussie.

I get why RR designed it this way, but they could have done a bit more of an edgier take for an off road platform. Who thinks James should start a closing line? A Mr. Porter for gearheads
