The Roman Arch Can Be Seen Everywhere 

Certain specific types of buildings can be traced directly back to their ancient Roman ancestors. The Colosseum, perhaps the most famous Roman building of all, is the direct inspiration for basically every modern sports arena and stadium. We kept the design, but we stopped using them for violent blood sports, which was probably for the best.
