I can't imagine actually being there to witness this awesomeness. I would have been on my feet the whole time!! This was actually part of a concert film shot on location in Los Angeles with about 3000 teenagers in the audience over the course of two days (November 29th-30th, 1965).
She's still black just light skinned and if her father was black instead her and her sister would probably be a darker shade skin tone. Her cousin is the other singer she's black, Cherokee and puerto rican she's the only 1 left alive from the group.
@@billliles6992 A common mix in the black community-my GF had a mother that was half Choctaw and a father that was half White-dark skinned with wavy hair and blue eyes.
@@billliles6992 so you're trying to say she wasn't black? and why? just curious as to why you would make your comment. Their own words: " they said they were bullied at school because of being light-skinned African Americans". They were multiracial kids who identified as Black...sorry that bothers you!
My Grandmother loved this song. I'll make sure this song is passed down for generations. Thank you to the Ronettes. And rest in peace. Thanks for sharing these songs with us. ❤❤ With love from New Zealand.
Ronnie deserves the accolades, but it must be said the unique comfort of having your sister and cousin in your group created synergy. They were no doubt tight! And then to have the mad genius of writer/producer/husband Phil Spector creating those epic songs and sounds. My God, the beat of Be My Baby drove musical geniuses and an entire generation wild!
have been listening to their music since being in quarantine, love their music and what a performance and a singer. and i'm shocked of her passing she truly is a legend will always miss her r.i.p Ronnie
thanks for posting, never have seen this but I love the song so much - a true classic in every way as it NEVER gets old and i've heard it countless times. a voice with real guts, personality, power, charm...everything. Thank you Ronnie
RIP Ronnie… thank you for the legacy that you left behind. The world will never forget your unique voice. Now you are in heaven with your sister Estelle.
I read some of the comments here and I weep for what our species might have become without 75 years ( so far) of ever increasing radiation releases into the atmosphere, the water, and the entire environment, including and especially, people's brains and ears.....
I got into this stuff riding in my parents car in the days where seat belts didn't exist for passengers at the back lol. those trips in the car got me into stuff like this even though I grew to like punk.
Love the dancer's ready to go outfits!!! I guess the producers wanted to see these girls dancing in the same outfits they were wearing in the casting office.
Wow, the lead singer was stunningly beautiful......and by the screaming girls in the crowd I would've thought it was footage from The Beatles or something!
