That looks extremely faster than mine (same engine, at least stock but mine is an 18/50). Did you keep the original lower unit in tact? I called GTR about getting a new prop, particularly a two blade, since my three blade that came on it is eaten up pretty bad and they were saying with the older lower units I'd have to round off the bottom of the cast for a 2 blade to work. It seems like yours is flying with a 2 blade.

This rig was acquired second hand by the current owner, so I can't say for sure what was done to it prior to the current owner buying it. When we inspected the lower unit, everything appeared to be original and unmodified. I'm not sure what GTR meant with "round off the bottom of the cast". The owner of this rig was already running two blade props and the Roost installed and ran without issue.

@@RoostMarineLLC I appreciate it. I have always been a passenger and never the boat driver/owner and mine is second hand as well and I am learning as I go but I was looking at yalls two blade as it seems to really get up and go. I have no idea why they told me that, but the last thing I want to do it is mess with the bottom of the cast as that seems like it could be an expensive mistake. Thank you, I will try to find yalls website and look into getting that prop soon.

@@forcemajeur.5138 No problem! If you'd like to email some pictures of your lower unit and drive shaft with the prop removed, we'd be happy to check for anything that might prevent you from running our prop or any other 2 blade. You can find our email address and lots of other information on our website- www.roostmarine.com/

What was your max speed with this load? Also how is the hole shot in deeper water with this load?
@RoostMarineLLC
@RoostMarineLLC 2 года назад
Max speed was 28.2 with this load. The hole shot in this video is in about 2.5 feet of water into a 20-30 mph headwind. Unfortunately there isn’t any video of this rig in deeper water. In general, the Roost has a strong hole shot in deep water too.
