I was 16 when this came out. It was my album of the year and everyone told me I was crazy because of Illmatic but I stand by that one lol. I should add, there's no samples on this album. Thats all live vocals.

Young brother this was great to watch, you listening to a classic Roots album. I love this album, all their albums are incredible. And what I really like is, each album is significantly different. Please brother do a reaction to MF DOOM's MM FOOD it is a truly innovating album. Or any of DOOM's projects #RememberAllCapsWhenUSpellThatMansName

This album is a decent introduction to the group but their second and third albums, Illadelph Halflife and Things Fall Apart are Classics. Do those next, you wont regret it. Edit: Forgot Organix was their first album before this. So Illadelph and TFA are 3rd and 4th

Hey dude i've binge watched some of your album reactions and i really enjoyed you "open mind" and fair reviews on some of the albums i've whatched you react. My sugestion would be for you to react to Bad Meets Evil the collab work between Royce da 5'9 and Eminem. They have an amazing chemistry on the songs would be dope if you could give it a look💪

@@rapranks1855 that album is a really good project for people to see Royce da 5'9 skills. Always felt the man doesn't get enough credit. He got nominated for a grammy Best rap album this year...finally some credit for the man skills

To add to another comment here I think Illadelph Halflife, their next album, is just beautiful and the very peak of Roots lyricism which is to say a lot. I think they do reach that level of lyricism again from time to time and there are other Roots albums you could argue are better as a whole but Illadelph Halflife is something pretty special imo

David Edward's checking in From N.C. First things first you picked the wrong album to start with, to me that was not there strongest effort to me,give a listen to illidelphia halflife album. Start from there when you talk about the roots.
