You can hear the birds arriving on the background during the recording. It was unusual because there were lots of them flying in circles in front of the kitchen window, it never happened before.
They made me think of the story Jonathan Livingstone Seagull, about keeping the faith and miracles which came to my attention in 2018 when in May my friend Maria from Iceland mentioned it, after retrieving a wooden seagull from the cupboard for fixing, made by her grandfather who had written Jonathan Livingstone Seagull under its foot.
I proptly found the audio book and listened to it on the commute to central London where I was working, and where the building I mention in the video is located -- Saint Paul's Cathedral where last month, on the day I picked the rose cuttings I photographed a flock of birds.
On that year many important events happened on a personal scale and then Harry, Princess Diana's son got married. She herself got married at Saint Paul's Cathedral and she met Prince Charles in 1977 the year my parents got married.
Soon after Diana died in 1997, on the day before I almost died, I went to live with my grandmother Augusta until mid 1998 when I moved to England and she told me "Trust me, moving to England is the best thing you will ever do. I was 18.
She died in 2018 at the age 88 and today I discovered that in the same year Mary Poppins, a movie that describes magic after the loss of a mother was rereleased.
I watched the trailer and it shows Saint Paul's cathedral which was featured in the original movie in 1964. In this movie there is a song called Feed the Birds, showing a woman on the Cathedral steps surrounded by birds.
My grandmother always had birds by her house, kept by my uncles, she died on All Saints Eve of the same year Mary Poppins was rereleased and referring to the numerous statues atop the Cathedral, one verse from the aformentioned song goes:
"All around the cathedral the saints and apostles
Look down as she sells her wares
Although you can't see it, you know they are smiling
Each time someone shows that he cares."
