Where are all the bands from, is it a mixture of north and south or all sourthern. From sourh east of the island so wouldn't be familiar with this but i do enjoy good music. So nice bit of music from the accordion bands. Must get up there to Donegal to have a look see at some stage. Would people be friendly and open to visitors. I'm guessing most attending would hold different political views than I.
There are bands invited from Northern Ireland to accompany the lodges of Donegal District in the service. Many bands from the Donegal District also. All is welcome to attend the service, but expect all to be respectful at the service.

Now this gathering I get. Organised, quieter and well behaved crowds, many of them seated. Out in what appears to be the countryside. Who could take offence at this ? I have been very contemptuous of Orange ballyhoo in the past and could not for the life of me understand whatever made so many people go and cheer on an apparent show of hatred & contempt for other N.Irish people. This parade is 100 times better and SHOULD be the way forward.
You'll find this is 95% of 12th and orange parades. The problems generally are almost exclusively in Belfast due to the fact of how close hardline communities are beside each other and the fact that routes are a nightmare because communities often form opposite sides of main roads through the city. That ofc if you've never been curious enough to attend a 12th is a somewhat fair assumption because the media show nothing but Belfast because of the trouble that often occurs. That and the stranglehold some paramilitaries still have on communities and try turn it into a trouble riot ridden shitshow. Even better is the 13th in Scarva. 100k families crammed into a Village with a population of no more than 400.
Why not? At least give a reason. Considering the Donegal, Cavan, Leitrim and Monaghan lodge members have Irish passports and are in their own country, where would you have them parade? Or have you a problem with certain Irish in Ireland??
