there's nothing about apple intelligence I want. I go through every app and shut off Siri suggestions, siri learning, Siri search, etc. I want no part of it.
@@Adamtendo_player_1 you didn't ask me but that doesn't sound too appealing to me because I like the whole brainstorming process of writing , I'd feel like Apple Intelligence would take "me" out of my own writing
There is a few things about apple intelligence that are appealing but i do think Apple is really neglecting Siri development, they should be focusing more on Siri's phone capabilities and the language understanding, i would love it if Sir were capable of a lot more, imagine if Siri were capable of doing literally anything you could manually do on your phone, imagine just carrying your phone around and only needing to touch it to play a game if you chose, everything else could be done simply by asking Siri.
Listen Apple should put out a master-class in marketing. They have an uncanny knack for releasing products that either never show up or already available on other platforms in a way that makes it seem like they reinventing something amazing. Its all fluff.
It truly irks me that Apple's been pounding on this "Not Ready" Apple Intelligence idea in order to market their devices - on top of that, it's bringing nothing that we hadn't seen before, 🤦🏾♂ I'm sticking to my Nokia 3310, will upgrade when they bring real innovation.
Ultimately, competition is a good thing among the big box brands. My impression of AI as a whole is that it’s a gimmick you will use a time or two in the beginning. Once it becomes a pay or subscription service it won’t be something I will be concerned about. I have had AI on my Galaxy Z Flip 6 and it was easily forgotten about. Interesting how main stream AI will now become with the marketing of Apple Intelligence 😊.
I live in Sweden and I believe that in Sweden this would count as false advertising! Could there be a lawsuit against Apple because of their false advertising with Apple intelligence?
Google selling the Pixel 9 now 3 months in Germany without Gemini live or Pixel Studio the New KI Apps what are the Major spelling Point , what can we so against Google?
@@Ernsto342 I don't know. That's why I asked 😂 I do though think there there is a bit of a difference between the headlining Apple intelligence and some of the Google AI features. Apple markets this Apple intelligence as the main selling point but nothing of it is there! But I do think you have a point 👍
@@Ernsto342 I do think you can use Gemini live if you just set your system language to English 😊 or at least set it as the first language! That is the requirements here in Sweden.
Ok, I don’t see why having these features on an iPhone is “a joke”!!! People are always going to complain about Apple no matter what! (and are going to buy the iPhone anyway!)
Because Apple markets it as something special and gives it its own name “Apple Intelligence” as a way to differentiate it from other AI products. Media claims that “Apple has won AI”. When in reality it’s the same features that other manufacturers have had for years. People are tired of them getting praise for doing nothing.
@@dez4647 People are tired of having a phone that just works? Tired of having the AI integrated in their phones so that they don’t need to install other apps or go to other sites? As I said before, you can’t make everyone happy. Some people will complain no matter what. To me Apple sales numbers don’t show that people are tired!
The features aren’t a joke. The fact that these simple features are being branded as Apple intelligence, are copied from Google, are 2-3 years late, are not even available, and Apple is advertising features that don’t exist and trying to label it as Apple intelligence is a joke. Also the fact that they are forcing people to upgrade for email summaries and acting like it’s revolutionary AI, is a joke.
@@Kalimatullah_Yoh1-1.14 Samsung hasn't announced anything like that yet. They just said a year ago that there is potential for it. Gemini already charges $20.00 a month for more advanced AI, just like Chat GPT does. Apple can't promise it won't ever charge, either, since it is paying to use Chat GPT and Gemini features, and it doesn't actually have any of its own AI. You can still use AI without paying on Gemini and Chat GPT. It's just that you don't get the best of what they have to offer. So, if Samsung starts charging, it will likely only be for very specific AI features, while most will continue to be free. The iPhone would be the same way. The only difference is that right now, the Galaxy S24 already has everything Apple is talking about for AI. The same goes for the Pixel.
@@GalaxyFur yes it is confirmed certain features will not be free after 2025. They just wont list down which features. But charging some kind of fee is a definite yes. This is what stopped me from getting samsung.
@@Kalimatullah_Yoh1-1.14 I can find no confirmation of such a thing online. Samsung hasn't stated any pricing. They only said they "might" start charging in 2025, and that was over eight months ago now. If they start charging, Apple will do the same since they use the same AI source. Samsung has remained silent on this issue since 8 months ago.
Is it really AI or is it just a new photo editor feature? Is it really AI or is it just a better translation app? Is it really AI or is it just a better search algorithm? Is it really AI or does in just choose things for you based on previous actions? It's all just software that got a little better. It shouldn't even be called Apple Intelligence anyways if they are getting it from Google.
I must be in a minority in the comments in here that cares about Apple Intelligence, mainly for the writing tools, but I do agree with you on your criticism of Apple ‘s handling of Apple Intelligence, but I say we give it a chance let’s give Apple at least a year for when Apple Intelligence is fully baked cause like it or not whether or not Apple intelligence lives up to the hype, Apple ‘s big advantage that they have is that it’s focused on privacy and for me that is a big win and Apple has to market back to the consumer cause I think everybody is freaked out by AI, but I welcome it as it has its benefits but I’m a big advocate of AI to a certain extent in terms of assisted tools not just for writing maybe for pictures in regards to photo editing which I know Google and Samsung already have their own AI assisted editing particularly Google though where it makes suggestions to make the photo better which is what I would like Apple to do cause I think it would really help out a novice with AI assisted suggestions on not only cleaning up a photo but in order to improve the overall quality of the photo so it can be the best it can be.
@@TrentonMatthews sure. I have a routine where when I leave home (using location & WiFi network) various actions should trigger e.g. WiFi off, mobile data on, sound profile on, adaptive brightness on, AOD on etc. The routine seems to pick up I've left home, but never completes all the actions & rarely reverses the actions it did complete either. I'm on an S24 ultra with latest software. It used to work 8/10 of the time. Now it doesn't work at all. If they can't get that sort of thing right...
I don't know what's more ridiculous, apple intelligence or the apple fan boys that swear their device is cutting edge But hey at least you have a blue chat bubble.... 🤷🏼🤭🤣🤣🤣 *laughs in Android* Im sure the apple faithful will be jumping on my comment in about 3....2....1....
And by now it’s written s24 ultra is the phone of the year.. Perfect in everything… I saw the pixels at the mall, those bezels are disturbingly big compared to today’s flagship’s.. They make it look very midrange despite being one of the costliest flagships here..! And display is very important to get that flagship feeling.. Pixel somehow doesn’t give that, at least what I felt… The ultra should be winning most of the phone of the year awards..
Yet they will still sell millions of iPhones. I still don’t think the majority out there aren’t interested in AI. Thankfully you can use either Gemini or any other as an app.
I like what I see so far. Apple adding their own sauce to what already available on crapdroid devices. I'm ok with that and looking forward to the next round. It's not about who did what first it's about how it performs on device being used JMO
I do not understand why people love apple. I'm not saying it's horrible, but with all the nonsense with apple, mainly iPhone in my opinion, it's crazy how people flock to it. I go between OnePlus 12 and Pixel 7. Therrrr ggggreat. Pixel probably more than OnePlus. But anyway, my work gave me an iPhone 13 for work stuff. I rarely use it. I really just kinda hate it. Maybe I'm just so used to Android. Oh, I guess I'm first 🥇
This AI stuff is getting out of hand. Today i visited an electronics store. They had basically some expensive pcs labeled as AI Ready. Like wtf does that even mean. My trash pc can run gpt and other AI without any problems. Iphone 11 can also. I have a feeling this is all marketing bs to upsell us technology that we already own. (Slightly lesser performance of course, but still works)
My 20yr old cousin is very happy with his iPhone 14 and says he doesn't wanna upgrade, and I want the 13 pro max...u make great points,I don't need or want the 16 series I just don't see the point in it....this is just my opinion
It's fair to criticize a company for advertising a feature that isn't out yet, but let's be real. They all do it. Google, Samsung, etc. The Pixel 9 didn't even ship with Android 15 and Google software locks A.I. features to only the Pixel 9 when we all know that the Pixel 8, 7, etc. could run them. So if you're going to pile it on, at least evenly distribute it. In response to A.I. being a joke: Look, some of us are forced to be Apple users, so I welcome any new AI features that might make my life a little bit easier. Yes, Google may have had them first. So what? How many things have Google/Samsung stolen from Apple? They all do it. Instead of always being blackpilled and complaining, we should be celebrating any time a company makes their product better. It doesn't matter if someone had it first or if they copied it. Could you imagine if no one was allowed to ever copy any features? If that were the case everyone would have to carry 3 phones around each for a specific feature. That would be a nightmare. No, we should want each phone to have all of the best features possible so then you could use whatever phone you want and don't feel like you're missing out on something. This would also create more competition between the brands which would drive down the costs of these insanely expensive devices that we are all dependent on.
But those earlier phones might handle it more poorly. Imo, it would be just another kind of bloat on such devices, working hand in hand with the Android system to suck up half the memory that's supposed to belong to the user.
@@TechOdyssey Bixby back in the day when it was version 1.0, had a feature where you could unlock it by using a voice password. Thanks to learning this from a Samsung Pro and the technical support department, they dropped the feature when version 2.0 of Bixby came out. The liability I think, is similar to where banks if enabled to have the option to have a voice enabled password. I know that not many people like using that feature. As you know, Bixby 1.0 was with Android Oreo while Bixby 2.0 was with Android pie. Also, they really should bring back the dessert names. I myself do not mind Android upside down cake. Though I truly can't wait for Android vanilla ice cream.
Apple definitely got caught flat-footed with the A.I. Google on the other hand🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟! They are going to charge for a subscription too eventually! OnePlus is really looking interesting especially at the price point compared to others. They may even be using an elite chip too, I can't recall right now.
Apple is not going to rush with AI; they're going do it the right way with on device AI instead of going to the cloud. I'm good with it. Prvacy and Security is a must.
@@TechOdyssey I've Microsoft & Google's business model could care less of customer's data that's how they make their money. i'm not putting my trust on Samsung since it's significant influence and a close relationship South Korean government. God knows what they're doing with your data.
If Samsung releases the snap dragon elite on the S25 Ultra or Fold 7, and 16 to 24g of ram I will ditch my iPhone and leap into Android. At this point Pixel hardware alone is better than apple. Samsung Hardware is even further ahead.
The new Apple Watches are the only smartwatches with no blood oxygen function. The price hasn't decreased. They advertise sleep apnea detection, but blood oxygen measurements are a must. And those overpriced Apple AirPods max headphones. Apple is a joke right now.
Hi I have a series 9 Watch with blood oxygen feature (Aust. Market), just wondering if it got stopped in yr region. Having said that I had to wait a year for “walking symmetry” to work & it was finally fixed with OS18 update. I’m still really cross with , sending profiles, screen recording every iteration of OS17 which didn’t fix it, did they offer anything to recompense me, all the time wasted - nope. In Australia we have consumer affairs I could contact as when products are sold they’re supposed to be “fit for purpose”. IDK whether I can be bothered bringing it to their attention, but it was very poor form imho. Have a fabulous morning, afternoon or evening 🦘🐨🇦🇺
Apple AI is features from the Google pixel 6😂. Yet the g4 is apparently equivalent to phones 5 years ago and the pixel 6 would be 10 years ago yet can still run all of the apple intelligence features
By the time they roll out their full suite of AI features, the next iPhone will be almost 6 months away. I wonder how they plan on earning back the trust of their users by then?
On the AI front, Apple has acknowledged that it's local AI models were all trained on Google systems, services and hardware. So considering this is more just a delayed Apple marketed flavour of what already exists
We have to wait to see the final product first before we know if it functions better than other AI. As an apple fan, I can say that's it definitely a point for Samsung that their s24 Ultra came with AI right out the box. Hopefully, the final Apple Intelligence will be better, as they have more time to polish it. If not, then that's a huge L for Apple.
I've stopped buying Apple after 14 Pro and this year I have taken Pixel 9 Pro and I'm enjoying every bit because I realized most of the app which I use are driven by Google. So I will try Google and it's working well for me. Side to that, I enjoy watching your content so much. Thank you. Keep doing good work
We did know their AI was a "beta/Test" and that´s why we did´t even get it from day one. Later on it will be solid but we talk a year or two..:) If you int oAI then better get Samsung/Google..:)
I agree with everything you said. But why are you surprised! It’s always been this way. With all Tech companies. They copy each other. By the way every other industry does the same thing. Apple is a marketing company, not a tech firm 😮
Apple has always been far behind in the AI game, even with the voice assistant. They were the first to launch Siri, and Google Assistant dropped a year later. Then, it passed Siri in capabilities and never looked back, leaving Siri in the dust to this day. Now, Apple Intelligence is just Apple licensing Chat GPT and Google Gemini features and slapping their name on top of it. Yet they don't run any of the servers for AI or own any of their own AI. It's all Chat GPT and Gemini. Both have been on Android phones like the Pixel and Galaxy phones for the last two years. Apple won't be able to catch up, so it is paying companies to license the tech. They couldn't even improve Siri despite saying they would do so for over a decade now. Plus, even then, Apple merely bought the developers of Siri. They never even created Siri to begin with. Apple can't even make its own 5G modems despite buying the tech from Intel five years ago. So, one knows, dam well, they won't catch up on the AI front. 😄 Plus, Google and others are pouring $billions into AI, so it's not like their tech will stay stagnant for two years for Apple to catch up. Google also has many more resources to build out AI than Apple has, so Apple, at this point, couldn't likely ever hope to catch up. As far as I know, Apple hasn't even built the infrastructure to handle large language models and the necessary data centers. 😅
Wow. I just published my video pretty much explaining the same things ! I’m a product manager in tech and you’re spot on with this. Great video. Been enjoying this type of content and have been doing similar with my channel as well. Will reach out to do a collab maybe one day
I guarantee you that Apple Intelligence will not persuade owners of the iPhone 13, 14 and 15 to upgrade to the 16. It's just not worth it. Moreover, Apple has pissed off these owners with this AI scam. It's a PR disaster. Apple should've made AI fit in the older iPhones. As a retired software engineer, I believe this was doable. A lot of software functionality has been crammed into 4GB devices over the years. Either Apple was too lazy or too time-constrained.
The sickest joke is going to a business, taking a photo and reveal more details. Come on, you could just aswell knock on the door :) Apple-ish way of reinventing the wheel.
Apple isnt the fantastic company a lot of their users seem to think they are. In my recent video I discussed the capture button and how no one was really asking for it. Yeah, it’s functional but literally Apple added it to make this years iPhone stand out. If they hadn’t added the “revolutionary” capture button it would be the most lame iPhone update probably in history.
If I were you, I would go with Google rather than Samsung yeah I’m biased because I don’t like Samsung software and Google has the best software for Android and Pixel:
I think you’re missing the point, everyone knows Apple isn’t known for leading technology for their customers. Their customers like their intuitive ui, reliability and security. They haven’t been leading tech since the first iPhone. I’m kinda surprised you don’t realize this.
Apple's best modern phone is the iPhone SE 3rd Gen. I'll fight anybody over that. That is the only Apple device I personally will ever use. It doesn't get all of this AI crap but it gets the damn job done as a phone. My main, daily driver is the Pixel 8. Even with the limited AI features on my 8 I don't even use them. AI is trash. Completely unnecessary and useless. Are these even phones anymore or can we safely say they are legitimate pocket computers that can make phone calls? What's a phone anymore? I even pop my sim in an old HTC One A9 on occasion just to get a reminder of how simple life used to be on a basic "smart" phone. If an Android phone manufacturer ever makes a device the size of Apple's SE 3rd Gen I'm all over it. I love small screened/paper thin phones and the closest small screen Android device that compares to the size of the SE screen wise is the Asus Zenfone 10. I was SO close to buying that over my 8 but the Android updates and Security updates disappointed me. Random, unrelated point: I miss LG and HTC so bad. HTC was my brand. Oh well. Great videos Adam. Keep up the great work and keep telling the truth about these devices!
8:07 my personal opinion/experience from buying the iPhone 16 at the Apple Store. They literally push you to do the public beta for Ios 18.1 I have 2 phones my 15 pro max the oled screen has a dead pixels only where apple new ai rainbow comes I haven’t had any problems after on iOS 18.0.1 on the 16 and Siri cant even open an simple app any more I’m over ai
They wasn’t even gonna do ai didn you see the interview with Craig they think it’s a huge privacy issue which is why when u use chat gpt its not gonna be going to other company’s like you said it’s going to Apple ran or Apple licensed servers to ping a questions send a answer and have no way to store that information on you. This is why there behind it takes years to set the servers up.
Ok, but are we talking about these features like they are a “need”? Like seriously, people who use apple products look at all these “cutting edge” features as nice to haves, being 2 years behind or whatever doesn’t really matter. The core features of the ecosystem (continuity, handoff, airdrop, etc) plus the amazing optimization and updates that support devices for years are all things that matter with the experience, all the rest is just extra interesting things honestly
The Google Pixel is my favorite phone!! I had the pixel 8 and now I have the pixel 9 in peony. I still have my iphone 15 because I LOVE apple fitness plus. I don't care about any other apple feature. 😜
It's a joke! no one needs the image playground its ridiculous. Just make Siri actually useful and intelligent. Apple is falling and needs another Steve Jobs to save it some new big thing like the iPhone was back when it first came out. They need to come up with the new phone for the future not this bullshit.
Apple is a multi billion dollar company that can care less about your opinion or how you feel. People will continue to buy Apple devices and their other products no matter how you think or feel about it. You sound so depressed about Apple AI you should go see a therapist for technology depression. While you continue to make videos about your infatuation with Apple AI and what Apple is doing & not doing, they continue to sell and make profit while you sit in your bathroom making videos about it. I watched this video while sitting on my toilet taking a dump using my Galaxy S24Ultra. I commented here after I wiped and flushed using my iPhone 16ProMax. And “yes” I washed my hands. iOS+Android=❤
No. I haven’t. I have talked about it being rip off that it’s not available yet. I haven’t talked about how bad it actually is and compared it to the competition.
