You can easily see how this dynasty of great chefs are able to produce alumni like Marco Pierre White the youngest 3 Michelin recipient ever at 33 and many more including Gordon Ramsey.
I love Michel Roux Jnr, his classic French/British style he gives the dish a bit more glamour and high end style. But I am sure that most of his dishes would taste magnificent. I am surprised how fit he still looks for his profession, or I would say on the skinny side..haha.
This is great because this is dinosaur era food, very few chefs are cooking like this and very few people are eating this type of food anymore. So seeing people being forced to do it for a stag at a 3 Micheline Star Restaurant is super funny to me at least.
Rich people will always get off on eating this kind of food. Fine dining ain't going nowhere. Not my cup of tea but I can appreciate the precision that goes into doing it. 3 stars is insane, u have to have delicious food but it needs to look n taste exactly the same every single time, that's tough.
This old fashioned stuff is more to test their improv skills and their ability to quickly pick up recipes. By having a dish they’d never done, it helps to get rid of any advantage people would have from having done it before
@@joshlewis575Try it before declaring that it’s “not your cup of tea”, you might change your mind. I’m cooking my way through some great cookbooks of more classic cooking like Julia Child and Keller’s French Laundry cookbook and I astound myself every time with the delicious food I am able to create!!!
A bit too conservative, in certain ways. I'm not fond of his betrayal of Marco Pierre White. Albert is a brilliant chef, but with a skewed vision of the modern culinary industry. He's a true old-timer, and I mean this, in a good way, for certain things.
And that,, ladies and gentlemen,,, is why Alain has 3 Michelin stars and Michel jr has 2! Because Alain is doing 90% of the cooking and Michel is only talking and watching.
They are at the Waterside Inn which is Alain's restaurant. It would be strange for Michel to take charge in Alain's kitchen. But yes I suspect Alain has an edge over his cousin from a technical standpoint.
Can we have just cooks who cook to feed and not narcistic wankers who squirt into everyones face about them being the only ones who have a job? Please?
@@williamdeetz4701 You're racist. Simple as that. These finalists earned their spots, since they were better than the others. They choose the winner, based off of talent, not skin color. You braindead racist.
@@CooManTunes you need to live in this century ok? why all of the years for the Roux scholarship are white? Im not racist but you my friend are uninformed. be safe be well.
@@CooManTunes lets say that Michele Roux is an amazing chef and not racists at all but just color blind due to his age and where he lives. But he says French food is the most advanced and complicated in the world????? thats a white point of view because Chinese food for the last 5000 years is as complex and if not more than French food. But because they are not white they dont count. think about this please........
