Reynolds the kings man will lie and cover for George as long as he lives and Brimsley will do the same for Queen Charlotte. We have to remember that Charlotte is only 17 years old and George is 22 years old.

No judgment about wanting Lord Danbury to die. He is awful. You can’t be old, ugly AND a bad husband. Like pick a struggle 😂 Edit: just wanted to say that the actor is actually quite attractive irl, but they definitely made him look terrible in the show

In that time period they used hair pins and twisted up the hair in papers to do Black hair. It actually works very well ❤

I think they used pieces of cloth. I’m 65 and as a kid we often used twisted strips of paper bags as rollers. Roll and tie for perfect curls💜

I am in the same age range. In the early 1960's they used to sell a version of that roller made from leather strips with wires inside. My sister had a bag of them-they were easier to sleep on.- better than the alternatives .

I'm not black at all, I've done my genealogy and I'm very German lol, but my mom did the rag curls on me. She would tear old t-shirts into little strips, roll them up in my hair, and tie them closed. I'd wake up the next morning with Shirley Temple hair lol.

I think the Catholic thing is because England in this period had long transitioned into Protestantism, since King Henry VIII and the whole Reformation thing with the Church of England, hence the preference of Protestants instead of Catholics.

They’re exactly right! Also it was illegal for a royal(especially the heir) to be or marry a catholic since the monarch is the head of the Church of England(which is Protestant)
