Reckless_NZ298 Girl Gamer 100% agree with you. Even if the moves are the same, it bloody looks good and they out perform any other large hip hop group.
there ARE a LOT of dance crew that are way much better than royal fam. Like PID, A-TEAM and U PEEPZ they are masters of PRECISION and ACCURACY. kudos! each group is respected and appreciated. lots of love
For the information of all beings, the one where they wore all pink, that was for HHI New Zealand Finals [National Level]. The present routine they only changed up just a little bit as it was for HHI Finals [International Level].
it only looks like the same as the one were they wore pink because it was the same year. I was a dancer and it is very common to "reuse" routines but obviously change it up a bit. this competition is at a higher level than the other one so it makes sense.
Same season, with so many people in a crew you can't just make entirely new routines for every single competition in the same year, because you need regular practice and there's only so much you can do, most crews will tweak the sets and keep the really good bits in
for everyone saying that the moves are repeated, many of the videos are from different dance competitions. This dance is similar to a previous dance most likely because it's a different dance competition from the last but wanted to use the same routine but it had to be shorter. So, they changed the choreography a bit to make it short but still used the same dances. That's most likely why it looks similar.
@MoMo Murad Kiel Tutin, Jessica Toatoa, Kaea Pearce, etc... they left the group some time ago, and with them out, the group fell so down, proving that the ideas for choreos wasn't only comming from Parris, but also from many other members of the crew.
So CLEAN!! I live for these huge choreographic groups; pulling off these stunts and horizontal illusions is perfection at it's finest from THE ROYAL FAMILY! Once the bridge came through at 'its Brittany' it was cutting through so fine. So very entertaining. These are some of the best moments of these young adult's lives. They are gonna show their kids (if any of them have them- IDK) and share how cool they really are. Talented.
they have a unique style, very recognizable, and yes, they have signature moves so why not use them again and again. Much love from me RF! you are the best!
That's the point, y'all aren't dancers but critiquing like you are. Very obvious y'all aren't dancers that are just IGNORANTLY hating on their amazing skills!
They're so good, but as others mentioned they're becoming predictable. You can even predict what type of music they're going to use for their choreography. Which is something with Rihanna with Caribbean island sound. They need something different.
I disagree. Virgil Abloh (rip) said he can come up with a new design by changing just three things from the original and this performance embodies that theory perfectly.
@@kompassorpigo7600 its boring, its repetetive, and predictable. Just because the nae nae had a good style and rythm doesnt mean people are still doing that today.
Many people are complaining how they always have the same style and moves. First of all, it's freaking hard to make a choreography for such a large group. Secondly, there's so much time and work having to be dedicated to practicing synchronicity. There's very few groups whose dancers are so in sync. Dances like these have to be practiced for months to get perfect and when you have so many people, it's incredibly hard to put in new stuff.
So for all of you who keep mentioning that everything is repetitive. They perform these choreos in competitions and if you make it to the next round you don't have much time to change anything so they make it work by mixing things up without having to change the choreo. If you're a dancer it makes sense
Welllllll I have only seen 4 of their performances and I notice the step of hanging repeating again. Even do, I’m soooo impress by their coordination and expressions. Having the strength to express like that while dancing like that. And I still can’t believe how pleasant it was that even the hair was in coordination! I know how difficult is to create a choreography and more with mega crews like that. I still love the royal family
I don't understand people complaining that they use the same moves. Classical ballet uses the same moves, Nutcracker, Swanlake. Jazzballet use the same moves, Bob Fosse, Luigi. Modern ballet use the same moves, Martha Graham. Tapdance, Fred Astaire, Gene Kelly. So why should the Royal Family reinvent themselves everytime, they are brilliant as it is.
Because this form of dance is based on creativity and been unique. So yes it's the definition of reinventing dance over and over again despite a few repetitive common dance moves. Ballet has a certain criteria and can be critiqued as such. In ballet you can actually tell someone they're doing a movement incorrectly whereas if someone messes up here they can easily play it off. Same goes with classical music. There's a specific tempo, rhythm, pauses. It's all an exact form of art. This is more freestyle
Again I do not believe people are complaining...Example when you go to see a movie that is a trilogy and the 2nd one is a repeat of the 1st minus costume changes, how many times would you watch before you’re BORED? They’re freaking AWESOME no one has denied that but with that we expect the next routine to be better than the last!
Your so right!I love it, first time seeing these amazing people skills and talent, loving what they do,it seems like so much fun.Looking back in my day,I wish someone could have came up with a powerful dance group like this! And I'm 57.Was a dancer
It's not only the moves, the sequence of the choreo is the same from what I just watched. Just a few different things, like some song changes, but I feel I watched the same thing.
Very fit, flexible, talented people,wow.......go kiwis! Proud of Paris, good on her for following her dream and talent, very pleased shes from Auckland NZ!-i wish her and her dance crew all the best.
They have reused a lot of choreography here .....still amazing and I love to watch them ......but I’m surprised at just how much is reused, probs makes this not one of my fave videos of them
I think many may think they keep using same moves but that their signature style and to continue to repeat with the level of precision is unprecedented!
nobody's criticizing their talent or capabilities, but the choreo is quite boring as 90% of the moves have been in all the previous performances. the formations are spot on but you have to admit, this performance has no soul, no story. it's just a show
That's a lot of bodies moving in sync perfectly!!!! I just love these dancers! Their energy is contagious & abundant; making anyone dance even if their moves look similar to prior routines. SPREAD LOVE & APPRECIATION PEOPLE! If you like it, AWESOME! If not, then don't criticize. Did someone ask you for your opinion? This is not a survey lol... Geez, stop hating... Just saying... 🙃
Have you forgotten what platform we are on??? Go ahead I’ll wait... RU-vid!! We’re our opinions is the crusp of what it’s built upon. No one has said that the Royals aren’t talented but by them being so talented they have to come harder than the last. Granted this video is from 2019 but I haven’t found any 2021 vids and when I do I expect that there will be repeat performances
I would recommend watching their stage at the NZ finals that year. The routine is just 👌 and a lot more new moves etc. I wish they had competed in this championship with it.
Everyone commenting how they are repeating movees, I don't think yall know how complicated this choreography is. They have a set routine for a year and will switch is up here and there, they're incredible everyone hating probs not even dancers.
No one is saying it's not complicated, they're just saying it's the same thing they've seen before. And even if people aren't dancers they are still allowed to critique the elements of the performance they didn't find enjoyable. Dancers dance to entertain and if people aren't being entertained they are allowed to say something whether they are a dancer or not
So just let you know, over the year there's at least 3-4 big dance competitions for a group (like them) to compete and a clean piece can be achieved by months or years. So they can't make new choreo for each competition because that'll took a lot of time. Thus, they are revising some steps for the next battle they are in. It's a common thing for the dance groups anyway. So I hope people stop complaining for a repetitive moves because that wasn't easy at all.
