Ruth (Jackee) moves out after Victoria (Della Reese) questions her influence on Kim and Curtis. Kim: Sylver Gregory. Curtis: Larenz Tate. Hillary: Naya Rivera. Willis: Shabaka.
I ❤ this show specially with Redd Fox because i❤ him and he's so funny and he remind me of my father truly miss you Coutinue to Sip 🙏 To all the lost Queen's and Kings from this show❤️🌹❤️
Family matters ...full house ...90210... The list Goes on....How come I'm just finding out about this Show...I Grew Up in the 80s and 90s..🤔...They didn't really promote this show on commercials...I would had been checked in 😅😐
UPN/Fox aired a lot of new black comedy's at that time but they'd put them against channels 2-4&7 who aired popular mainstream shows that had 1 or 2 black ppl. In them. They'd move the time slot, cut the end of the show off or have technical difficulties until the show was cancelled..It took me years to finally see the end of some a different world episodes once they started playing reruns..Yes it was one of the best times to be alive, things were changing for the better for everybody.Eyes were opened that can still see today...
@@inahgreen4363 That's True 😊 the Good Old Times...But Remember we can Always make a Difference within ourselves ...All it Takes to Practice A Little Love. . ❤️ 😌🥰 God Bless U
Jackee' left 227 cause 90% of the fans tuned in just to see her,so much so they gave her a show.Without Mary,Rose and Pearl to annoy she flopped by herself. She showed up on the memorial show as Della's half Sister who moved in after Redd passed(After being rudely interrupted during a interview behind the scenes of the show). On the next show she was Della's daughter, Sister sister ended up being Jackee' cash 🐄
@@inahgreen4363I thought she planned a different role in this show from one episode to the next. Thanks for confirmation. Do you remember the name of the show she had after she left 227?
I see a lot of people in the comment section who are attributing the cancellation of the show to Redd's sudden death, but the episodes I've seen without him seem just as funny as the episodes with him. I don't see a loss in quality. What I do KNOW, however, is that there was a string of really good Black sitcoms in the early 90s that were short-lived because the white networks purposely underpromoted them. Then, they could use the excuse of low ratings to pull the plug.
Yea i love redd foxx & im just now finding out about this show like a wk ago. After i watched all the ones with redd foxx i thought the rest would not be as funny but they actually are not that bad. Della Reese is pretty funny & her & Jackee still make it a good show
@@christinarenae7839 Exactly. The rest of the cast, especially Della Reese and Jackee, picked up the torch and superbly carried it until the end of the season. So, I suspect that a lot of comments talking about the show not being as good after Redd's death are from ppl who are focused more on a popularity contest among of the star(s) than on the actual quality of the storylines, writing, acting, and overall entertainment.
Looking at this through a 2023 lens, it's kinda cringy to see a teen boy get chastised for not wanting to hang out EVERY weekend with an UNRELENTING 35+ year-old man who's not in his family. I understand that he was sort of a father figure to the boy after the granddad died, but it's awkward to see a grown man begging THIS aggressively to hang out with a kid he's unrelated to and seeing the kid being shamed by his elder for not wanting to constantly socialize with a grown man twice his age.
There are different styles of clothes set up in clothing stores; teenage sections, for teenage females to choose to wear in fairness baggy clothing, long skirts and dresses; and fitted clothing such as jeans and short skirts, short dresses and short shorts, and in many cases, it doesn't matter about whether the females clothing worn are baggy, covering her body figure/shape or females wearing fitted jeans, short skirts, or long skirts she could very well be a responsible fair doing person that dress for the style she desires in fairness is legal as the clothing setup in the clothing stores for her to choose to buy.
r.i.p. to that little kid aka Naya Rivera red Foxx collapsed right in front of her when she was 4 she still remembered and 29 years later she passed away(drowned) in front of her 4 year old son...its so tragic :(
I'm trying to understand, Sylver (Kim) is the same age as me which means when this show aired, in 1991, she was 11 years old. So I'm trying to understand how does she look so much older? When was this episode? When did it air on tv?
I think there must be an error in Sylver’s bio because she appears to have been much older than 11 or 12 when the show was being produced. This particular episode originally aired in April 1992 after being on hiatus for a few months after Redd Foxx died in October 1991.
