Sir Welch I agree! I have ALWAYS found both of them fascinating! She was so beautiful and I read that Queen Elizabeth II adored the Duchess! She certainly had her share of tragedy several miscarriages and then the death of her son who looked so much like her! Really?!? I know it's an individual matter of taste, but I think every time I see photos and footage that George VI was the best-looking man I've ever seen in any form, even though he was long deceased before I was born. I don't mean that as hyperbole, either. I mean I think he's better looking than any other man I've seen live or in memorex, and I was a kid who had a thing for old movies with heroes like Cary Grant and Jimmy Stewart AND was "in love" (whatever that meant) with Harrison Ford from ages 5 to 12, watching him be Han Solo and Indiana Jones! Then Ford did an interview I excitedly read right up to the point when he told told a story about faking his way through a conscientious objector hearing after boning up the night before with college philosophy books borrowed from a pal, teaching ME that one should never look beyond what one sees in characters played by actors! Whatever happened in WWII and movies of that era wrapped, most modern actors since haven't had any character when it comes to putting on uniforms anywhere there isn't a camera! The Nazi-loving weakling that was the Duke of Windsor didn't age well, but his brothers were different. Although he might have taken a roll around sheets with playwrights and actors (and occasionally dressed like a woman), the Duke of Kent at least was willing to die fighting for his country, as was George VI--and stayed to his dying day the best-looking man I've ever seen!!!

David, Albert, George all looked typical, Henry didn't. The Gloucesters also made the best looking offsprings imho. QEII, princess Margaret, and princess Alexandra looked (and one still does) pretty, but not quite comparable to prince William & prince Richard of Gloucester.

Prince Henry looks a lot like his Hanover ancestors. The other children take more after Queen Mary, who had Hungarian ancestry. I think George VI is by far the most handsome of the brothers, but I think Prince Henry's younger son, Prince Richard, is quite attracting....I did say Richard, not William, although William is considered the "good looking" one. William seemed to me rather fast, while Prince Richard is an awesome family man, who adores his wife, loves his children, supports his extended royal family, and never gets into scandal. He does wear glasses and his hair flips a bit over his forehead, but any photo he takes with his wife or children shows how much he loves them. That reflects well on the royal family.
