A heartwarming Father & Son scene between Stu and Tommy Pickles from ‘The Rugrats Movie’ where down in the basement, Stu explains to Tommy on the responsibilities about being a Big Brother to Dil and the faith he has in Tommy to be that Big Brother.
Not only that, Stu also gives Tommy an old pocket watch with his and Dil’s photos inside, which Tommy would later use when he, Dil and the other Rugrats got lost in the woods in The Reptar Wagon.
Please Enjoy 🩵

Yes even though Stu and Drew constantly argued over of Number of Things like their lifestyles etc, at the end of the day they were still brothers and do care about each other. Stu is right, Brothers have gotta have faith.

What’s more, Nothing feels forced or even preachy. This is a natural sounding talk a father is having with his first born about being a sibling. A passing of the torch.

Both this and Paris I thought were done pretty well. Phil and Lil’s selfishness in the original was the only big problem that kept me from loving it as much as the Paris one. The third one shouldn’t have even been made, though.

Stu likely noticed that Tommy and dil had tension. And didn’t want them to end up like him and Drew.

I like to think Grandpa Lou gave Drew a similar talk after Stu was born.

I really liked how stu was giving his tommy some good advice on being a big brother, and not turn out like stu and drew when they were babies. Remember there was an episode of them in that flashback of how they constantly fought.

0:23 Whats even crazier about this speech is Drew is actually older than Stu, even though it always felt like Stu was the older brother

I guess Stu was trying to teach Tommy a lesson in brother responsibility in attempt to avoid Tommy and Dill relationship turning into the same as his own with Drew

Can you believe one of the show's creators hated this scene? He says that one of the show's rules was that the babies shouldn't interact often with the adults.

@@Benratbag1997 Yeah. That creative no longer worked with the show but returned for the movie. That said, it's his opinion, I guess. It's like Ed, Edd n Eddy made a theatrical movie featuring several adults breaking the status quo. He disliked also Dil's creation as he enjoyed Tommy being the youngest and once said that Tommy having a brother would have served better as a series finale.

Honestly, I think if he also explained that smaller babies don't really understand about some of the things bigger kids (and in this case bigger babies) do and that as long as they teach him as he grows, he'll understand a lot more, it would've came across Tommy's mind a bit better and he wouldn't have thought that Dil was just being very naughty near the end
@shanefraley827
@shanefraley827 Месяц назад
Stu might have been referring to himself as a little brother since he's not everything Drew hoped he'd be. If Stu really did give Tommy that explanation, he would have told Phil and Lil that Dil is not naughty, he's just new to the world, and that they were being naughty examples to him!
@shanefraley827
@shanefraley827 Месяц назад
Phil and Lil were the real villains of this movie and Dil was only a month old. Also with brothers Stu and Drew bickering all the time, fans usually take Stu's side. But I think they're just overreacting so much that they never take the time to notice that underneath that uptight, short-tempered, snobby, and sometimes a bully personality like his daughter Angelica, he's generally not a terrible person and he really loves his brother Stu dearly and even though Stu is too stubborn to take Drew's advice about finding a real job to financially support his family, he really loves him too!
@user-ie8om9rr2g
@user-ie8om9rr2g 4 месяца назад
Sweet that underneath all of the bickering are two brothers who do cares for each other deeply. The two are pure opposites with Drew being more serious and conservative while Stu is more free-spirited and wacky. However, deep down Drew do want to ensures that his brother's family are living comfortable financially and trust his brother and sister in law to watch over his precious daughter while he and his wife are at work. Meanwhile Stu may not admit it to Drew but deep down he does cares what his brother thinks of him and wants Drew to be proud to be a brother of an inventor.
