I was surprised when I found out that they were releasing the complete series. I was still waiting for seasons 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 on single seasons. Glad I finally got it.
Wow! I had no idea this was even coming out and never heard it was coming out! I watched this as a kid all the time when Nick was watchable, and now that I'm 29 I may just pick this up myself now!
The reason why some of the mod dvds used more discs than paramount like seasons 1, 3 and 6 is because amazon used single layered dvd-r's and paramount used dual layered
i had decade in diapers on vhs when it came out when i was six. i watched it all the time. i had the one where they go 2 vegas too. now i have the tales from the crib snow white dvd
Quick question: are the discs for seasons 1-4 the same as their individual DVD releases that Paramount put out in 2017 and 2018? It looks like it’s the case, but I’m not completely sure.
He says later in the video that it is most likely the same discs as the individual season releases for 1-4. However, the Tales from the Crib DVDs with special features are not included on this collection.
@@CosmicSponge2004 I know right! Very unprofessional, I can't believe such a dumb mistake would be made, and it's sad so many people are buying this thing with that error. This is stopping me from purchasing, and I want to leave a bad review, but I don't know if I can since I didn't buy it.
Picked this up at wal mart because my season 1 of rugrats had huge issues of skipping on the 3 discs.I hope they added rugrats vacation on one of the discs.
Changes from the Amazon DVDs: 1. "Angelica Nose Best / The Pirate Light" is moved from the end of season 4 to the start of season 5. 2. The final 5 half-hour episodes of season 5 are moved to the start of season 6. Season 5 now ends at "The Family Tree", which makes sense as that's the last episode before Dil shows up. 3. Season 6 now ends at "Runaway Reptar". The remaining 13 episodes are now all considered Season 7. 4. All of Season 7 on the Amazon DVDs are now considered Season 8. 5. All of Seasons 8 and 9 on the Amazon DVDs are now considered together as Season 9.
@@andykishore seems like it is a total mess because of difference with broadcasting order release and production order release? It is all so confusing!
This was a common thing because Nick was infamous for extending season orders. S6 was originally given 20 episodes and then that was given 13 more and then years later, that production block was occasionally split in half and then released as two distinct seasons. This was more known with icarly and victorious.
Weird release, I would’ve released a big collectors set with all of the shorts, pilot, and preschool daze and a bunch of bonus features on a separate disc, the complete series of Rugrats and all grown up, and the tales from the crib movies and the trilogy movie collection.
The Fairly OddParents: The Complete Series is one I would want the most, but I would also want The Adventures Of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius: The Complete Series and Bunsen Is A Beast: The Complete Series.
Same here. I bought this on Amazon and I'm waiting for my copy as well. Kind of sucks it doesn't have the pilot on the set. I really hope if this sells well, maybe we'll see more complete series of Nick shows, let alone Nicktoons. Hopefully we'll see Doug this year since it's the 30th anniversary of the show along with Rugrats and Ren & Stimpy.
It sucks since this packaging could’ve been avoided! Paramount has released a 26 disc set before with the removable overlapped flippers they used back then. If you guys want to, The Wild Wild West complete series has a 26 disc packaging that doesn’t have the stacked discs packaging. I have no idea if the dvd case will fit the slipcover but if you guys want you could purchase that dvd set to replace the case if you want to.
It's hard to believe it's been 3+ years since this was released. One of the most hoped for and biggest DVD releases of all time for me. I am still hoping for an All Grown Up (US/R1) set someday, but I at least have the region free set that was released in Australia. I didn't have confidence it would ever get released here so I got it from Amazon when it was still available. I should've got that Captain Planet set they had too. It might never get beyond the season 1 release here. The complete series set is unaffordable now.
The episode listing for Seasons 1-3 stayed the same, For Seasons 4-9, is where the differences occur, On Season 4, Vacation and Chanukah had swapped places and Angelica Nose Best / The Pirate Light is on Season 5 along with the first 11 episodes of Season 5, on Season 6, it has the remaining 5 episodes of Season 5 along with the 15 episodes of Season 6, On Season 7, it is actually the remaining 13 episodes of Season 6, Season 8 is actually Season 7, and Season 9 is actually combined Seasons 8 & 9 together along with the two Tales From The Crib Specials and Babies In Toyland: Parts 1 & 2 are on last disc for Season 9!
Now all we need is a Blue's Clues Ultimate Collection DVD Set with all special features. and even an Unaired Pilot of the show. and the complete Blue's Room Series in the set.
@@alexlittle2323 yeah, but i want that box set to be like the Hey Arnold: The Ultimate Collection set. where it has the Pilot, The Complete TV Series, all the Blue's Room episodes and some Blue's Room shorts, Deleted Scenes, and extra special scenes.
I was too old for blue's clues but it didn't stop me from watching it lol I think I was in 3rd grade maybe 2nd. blue and magenta mrs salt and Mr pepper and paprika.. omg.. the good ole days!
I got that DVD back in January of this year. It was the only copy that was in my local Walmart. It didn't have the slip cover. Oh well. What's the big deal? BY the way, I love the intro!
Does it still have the issue with the opening/credits appearing for each 11 minute segment for Seasons 1 and 2, as well as the Season 2 episode “Regarding Stuie” (which I hate by the way) being on the Season 6 DVD? I want to know because that's preventing me from buying the collection.
I'm not a fan of the restacking packaging. I'll skip this one. I already have the Australian Box Set, it's region free, the packaging is better and has cooler artwork and I also have the All Grown up Australian Box Set. I also have Tales From the Cribs DVD, Movie Trilogy, and Decades in Diapers sets.
Just got around to watching my discs and was a little confused to find many episodes arranged out of production order and even some episodes from earlier seasons showing up on later seasons discs. For instance, roughly 10 episodes or so from the back half of season 6 take up half of season 7’s and season 7’s episodes play on the season 8 discs and the entirety of season 8 is bundled with season 9. iMDB seems to have the most reliable order so that’s what I go by.
The only thing I can give for an explanation is that indeed the episodes are out of order on the old amazon releases as Chuckie's Duckling is supposed the be the first episode Dil appears in post movie. The Family Tree episode is the last of Season 5 as it announces that Didi is pregnant by the end of it.
I love Rugrats, it was one of my favorite show growing up. Now that Paramount released all 9 seasons in one packaging, I think they should do the same for Jimmy Neutron (another one of my favorite shows) if they get a chance too. I’m just saying Paramount should release all seasons of Jimmy Neutron on DVD as well.
This packaging is horrible! I bought Season sets of season 1-4! I want seasons 5-9 released as season sets! No stacked discs!!! They scratch when they are stacked! To me, I would rather pay more for season sets for the slips and no stacked discs!
The burn on demand ones went out of print in 2017 and in June 2017 paramount released seasons 1 and 2 and 2018 season 3 and 4 released and maybe this year later paramount will release the other shows on dvd and I hope they make sanjay and Craig fanboy and chum chum and robot and monster and I know these shows weren't popular but I would buy them
Why didn’t they release this on 4K? This would have looked amazing with HDR and Dolby Atmos surround sound. They could have at least done a Blu-ray release, dvd is so outdated.
The remake isn't going to be on nickelodeon. Its for paramount plus only. Im still waiting for amazon to ship mine I hate the packaging. I wish i had the 9 seasons burn on demand I would stick the paramount discs in them and give the burned copies to a friend in this new case If the holders come out, I'm sticking each disc in plastic sleeves, assuming i can fit them all in the case
STACKED. Had a feeling. Good thing I have two copies but this is a downer for everyone else, they’re going to easily get scratches. All the more reason to release them on scratch resistant blu-rays, even if they are HD upscales (eg Avatar). And I assume seasons 1-4 are the exact same as the retail release from 2017-2018? And if so, are those dvds fixed with removing credits after every 1st segment ?
I wanted to get this but I really hate the packeting. I will just wait for it to be repackaged or for a blu ray release. They are re releasing Hey Arnold the Ultimate Collection in a regular flipper case on June 15. So I don’t know if I’m gonna get that version or the Shout one.
@Al Boudreaux Good to hear, and now those who want the set but don't like the stacked discs from the original release can now get it in that style which i much prefer.
@Al Boudreaux If you really like disc art, episode lists and case art then the Shout! Factory sets of the old school Nicktoons are by far the way to go. I definitely like the Shout! version of the Rocko's Modern Life complete series set even though it doesn't have a list of episodes on the inside, the case art is so awesome that it really has the edge over the Paramount reissue. The Hey Arnold! set is a little more plainer than the Ultimate Collection art wise, but it has the list of episodes on the inside of the cases which is really nice to have.
I really hope the reboot is decent. Nickelodeon will make more reboots of other nicktoons if it's successful. Their reboots so far have been pretty good, even though their movies. Hey arnold the jungle movie, rocko's modern life static cling, and invader zim: enter the florpus were great. I want new seasons of jimmy neutron, hey arnold, invader zim, my life as a teenage robot, and danny phantom.
I don't care what people say about this discs, the content or the way the discs are placed, I am buying this so I can have most of the TV show because I already got the movies.
That packaging is a deal breaker for me. I don't mind it when the discs are just overlapped, like in the big Spongebob sets, but double/triple stacked and overlapped is unacceptable! Hopefully they'll do individual season releases for those of us who already have the first 4 seasons. They could have easily used two 10 disc cases and a standard sized 6 disc case, and packaged it like the Animaniacs complete series. Damn shame!
I don’t blame you for that honestly. I think they could have done a better job with it and I’d have definitely paid more. If they ever reissue it in a better repackage without stacked discs, I will re-buy it. They could have gone all out with a better quality box set that included more special features, like the movies, pilot episode, Preschool Daze, etc., and it would have been a must buy for more people (though the price would be higher). This is definitely a budget priced release, and I’m at least glad we have that rather than nothing, though.
Ok so here's a question. If Paramount released Rugrats season1-4 on DVD, how come that they didn't release season 5-9 before the complete series come!?
@CoyoteMontana That's what i don't get, it is odd they just released all of the pre movie seasons and just left it there. Maybe a lower demand or interest in the seasons with Dil or Kimi post Rugrats in Paris? I don't know, it's possible.
Probably because the first four seasons weren't profitable enough. It's all about the money. That's why I think they will never be released now that we have a complete series set. I hope I'm wrong though.
@@JsBluRays The first 4 were the only ones released and were the most profitable. Seasons 5-9 weren't released probably because they weren't as profitable. In my opinion there was a huge drop in quality after season 3.
I'm so excited mine says it will be here by the weekend..... soooo cool I can't believe it!!!! I have a small Rugrats collection and almost all the nicktions complete series I just need 2 more I don't care for rent and stumpy so much but the others are great!!!
I really hope more shows get complete sets like this. Jimmy Neutron, Fairly Oddparents, My Life as a Teenage Robot, a bunch of other shows really. Also, it's too bad these are never remastered and put on 4K UHD, DVD is pretty old and not too great compared to newer formats.
@@noahthepokemaster1572 They're really not. DBZ orange bricks crop the shows & make it all blurry. Amazon DVD-Rs are just in a lower resolution & don't work on some players.
Remember at the end of the video you did said that in the burn on the MAN ones that some episodes got mixed up but on The real DVD of Rugrats episodes are all in order and like you said that maybe you need double check about the other ones that you had before this. And maybe do another video about that for fun
No they shouldn't be what it is. You are to return this for a refund and get the individual seasons at least that one the disc have art labels on them please call Paramount so they can correct the packaging. It's not right that the packaging on this is terrible and that a customer has to deal with the scratched discs.if I were you I would return this package for my money back and just buy the individual seasons at least they're cheaper plus they have art labels on them and these don't
The remake is on paramount plus and let me tell you it is trash lol the adult characters the voice actors sound like there not even trying and the change the lore so much they made the grandpa into a hippy and they made Betty into a lesbian character when she was married to howerd in the original and howerd is no where in this show
Rugrats is a total masterpiece!!! I super adore this show with a burning passion!!! It's one of my favorite shows of all-time and that's never gonna change!!! 😊❤️
I wish they did a better job on the packaging or in fact even though an HD transfer wouldn't have probably been possible a nice blu-ray release that would require would have been perfect. However I'm not buying it because of Childhood or Nostalgia. I have no shame in saying I just love this show even today.
