The Ruin of Estelle - A Georgia Mining Town 

To find the ruins of the iron mining camp shown in this 1908 photo, we walked an old narrow-gauge railroad bed and scrambled through partially collapsed, long-abandoned tunnels. You can too, by hiking the Estelle Mine Trail and the North Pocket Loop Trail on Pigeon Mountain in northwest Georgia's Walker County.
