Welcome to Calmsden Farm for Farming Simulator 22 ! It's a very high quality map by Oxygendavid / oxygendavidfs Map Download Link - www.farming-si... Music by Epidemic Sound
Daggerwin, your videos are just great and this map is fantastic but sometimes your personality outshines it all. Your respect and kindness towards everything is a pure pleasure to witness and learn from. Thank you, Daggerwin
Love your video, your oopsies, and especially your voice with the accent. I never got interested in Calmsden Farm until I watched you working the fields. Plus, I’ve just started learning Precision Farming and I think I’m hooked on this map. I’m playing 4 farms I love already. Keeps me from getting bored, but I do have to keep running notes so I remember what I’m doing. Just can’t resist. This is my new passion at 74 yrs old.
You should definitely get the Gator, cause of it's compact size, you'll be able to maneuver into small/tight spaces, specifically some of the sheds there.
I love how a guy who has amassed 780,000 followers, by simply "rambling on" during videos about Farming Simulator, still thinks that time lapse sections would be boring if he were to "ramble on" during them!!!
His analytics may show people skip or switch off at those points. Can’t be doing much if anything wrong in my eyes either but statistics may show dw something different
As I live near this area I took a ride out to Calmsden. I was absolutely blown away by the accuracy of this sim to the real Calmsden Farm. Everything down to the video cam on the low door, your house (I asked my wife to knock and see if you were in lol) postbox onto wall with notice board. Are any other farms you've done in the past real places as this is? We love your videos wife and I.
Have you played oakfield farm on fs19? That's close to calmsden, its on the gloucester oxford road, just put in srven springs gloucestershire. Also six ashes is near to bridgenorth
Inside the forest is an amazing grass field. Ideal for cutting and you'll enjoy the peaceful tranquility and bird song with the forest trees surounding you. Best entry is beside the stables and you could as I have done removed the litttle scrub bushes and painted in a small dirt track. I think it's the most outstanding part of the map.
@@kev1kaz1 Strange I cut it okay and fertilized it afterwards. Mind you I did buy field 23 beside it but it didn't cost anything £0. For some reason there must be a bug as the field had a zero price, not sure if the forest was included. I have seen various RU-vid videos clicking on a field to buy then moving the curser over to another property beside it and it also had a zero price. Try it and see if it's the same for you.
you just need to take the rubber block that's inside of the brake pedal. its just a few screws to get inside remove rubber block and screw it back together. It would only take about five minutes of your time to do.
With regards to the days per month on this map vs the other. I think 2 or 3 days is ideal for this, more to do and a slower pace whereas the Haut Beyleron playthough is more of a "brand new thing!! try all the things!!!". On that map there are things being planted that just wouldn't be done on a UK farm.
There’s a filed by my house that often gets bailed end of harvest but the farm is the other side of the field with a small single track public road and the farmer stacks them by the wall then picks them up over the wall think you would be able to do the same in this case - work smart not hard 👍
If you go to sell the red diesel tanks at either the upper or lower buildings you will get a pleasant surprise...Same goes for the Dog if you arent a fan of our shaggy coated friends
This map is really amazing. In every episode i still finding new things what i like. Its nice to see a british countryside....and its even better with daggerwin, like always is. Perfect match.
I think the gator more versatile and you have a branded item for the realism aspect I tend to read the comments as well and it’s more like a community no toxicity just everyone helping each other as well as the amazing gameplay from daggerwin much love everyone 💚
Don't forget the old shed next to the chicken pen. It is so convenient for servicing the pigs, chicken and horses. I would put some bales there and also a small volume silo for pig, horse and chicken feed. And maybe a very old small tractor and trailer to bring the feed out in the fields nearby.
So after watching court farm and then all 200 episodes of haut-beyleron I’ve now started this series. It feels bizarre after watching haut seeing you on a new map lol. Absolutely love your content daggerwin but you really need to stop worrying so much my friend - for such a large content creator you doubt yourself way too much and worry about people questioning your decisions. This is YOUR game, you play how you want to and how you enjoy it - the views just show that people love your style and for the few arseholes who want to critique everything you do - they ain’t worth your time! I’d love for you to be a bit more confident and believe in yourself - you are amazing!
Tried it, you can't destroy the walls. but in the corner of the sheep field just up from the wooden gate on the main road near the farm is a bunch of trees adjacent to field 4 the wall stops short of joining the other wall (maybe a gate was intended at some time) if you remove the trees (the bushes can't be removed either) you can drive a tractor through into field 4. Saves going down to the bottom gate and through all the other gates to get to field 4.
Since you have weeds on this playthrough, I'll give you a tip that took a while to figure out. If you use a weeder on the field the same day it is planted, there will be no weeds in the field until after it's been harvested. You also won't have to spend money on herbicide. I want this map now. Thanks, bud.
The Gator is awesome. I use it on my maps, loved it in 19 too. As for days in a month. When I started on my Elmcreek run I had 2 fields and it was set to 1 day a month and it seemed like forever! Now I have 10 fields, it's currently set at 3 days per month but I may expand it to 5 days. I was getting ready to set up a Calmsden map, but then I saw the Greenlands map and I think I want to check that first before deciding.
Great video. When tedding in real life....i do not lift on the headlands as bunches the hay up when put tedder down again. I just do 3 or 4 headlands and go up and down missing a row if the turn is too tight with the tedder on the ground. Also do 2 headlands with a rake so no reversing required on headlands.
Daggerwin, I know your style of Let's plays is relaxed and sincerely my favourite but you could be a bit more actively involved. Per example, you could've set the Massey on the mulcher and do the grasswork later on or you could've set the Fendt to pick up the front mower from the store while you were setting up the worker in the stuble field. All in all, 8/10.
The tedding animation in FS22 is so cool! Also, if you bought the Pottinger mowers they have an inbuilt swathing function so you don't need a windrower.
Daggerwin, I cannot believe you haven't tried cotton yet and making clothes. $32,000 per 1000L. Yes you need to buy two productions initially but your return on investment is huge! Makes having sheep well worth it to. Take a big field and rent a cotton harvester. Fast money.
Just a little tip daggerwin. The diesel tanks worth 475,000£ each of them, and if you still want to have you can easy replace them from the shop for 10,000£.
I can't wait to play fs22.... looks stunning! But I'm still just in love with fs19.... it is my first venture into the fs world and now I'm afraid I've missed out on alot in life... lol I was a fps guy my whole life till now... and I don't think I'm going back
Dogwin! Personally I would think that a pickup truck would be more useful than a Gator especially if you know you're not going to utilize most of the attachments that the Gator can have purely because you can fit more cargo in the bed of a pickup truck than you could a Gator without needing a trailer. I'm just talking from a realism standpoint, even though I live on a US farm and our areas aren't as condensed as the area that you're in but we don't usually drive UTVs on the roads unless it's just to drive ourselves and maybe like some water or lunch out to the people working in the fields. Plus you can pull a larger trailer a lot easier with a pickup than you can with a Gator. Just my thoughts, though. :)
That Windrower you used is my favorite Windrower in the game. I have enough for the bigger ones but keep coming back to that one. It seems much easier to control.
Anyone else suddenly reminiscing about walking past a freshly cut field and the smell of the grass filling the air? 🤤. Also wouldn't it be great if you could demolish a little bit of the wall between the sheds and the grass field to make a quicker access.
i once did hay turning in real life. Man it was hot hardwork XD In an un air conditioned Massey that was older than both of us lads in the damn cab! XD Ruddy good fun though.
Maybe worth considering a trial with the Gator before you grab one. I dont know it is me, FS22 or the mod or a combination but I have been using the Gator on Ehrlengrat and found it a little annoying. Towing trailers can be quite unpredictable and it is surprisingly challenging to manoever in tight spots. On the plus side the bail tray is quite handy. The tilt combined with the latch strap means I can grab a single round bail and move quite easily.
Forget about what others say about what you did or didn't do. It is your let's play not theirs. It doesn't matter because you put out pretty good content
Great video Dag! 🎶 Gator Gator Gator 🎶 my attempt at a chant.. You have not clearly defined yet in this play series if you are going to be using the collectibles or not...
Don't take this the wrong way Daggerwin, but you've just made me fall asleep. Not because you're boring, but I find you voice soothing. The positive side? You'll now have 2 views from me, because I now need to watch the episode twice and not fall asleep the second time. =D Loving the Calmsden farm though!
Fendt 714 Vario 2012-2022 Row-Crop tractor Engine: Deutz turbocharged intercooled. liquid-cooled inline 6-cylinder. Displacement: 369.6 ci/6.1 L Rated Power (ECE R24): 128 hp/95.4 kW (Kuhn 8730) Rated Power (EC 97/98): 144 hp/107.4 kW (Kuhn 10030) Maximum Power (ECE R24): 145 hp/108.1 kW Maximum Power (EC 97/68): 150 hp/111.9 kW Torque: 472 lb-ft/640.0 Nm! Rated RPM: 2100 Mowers require quite a bit of power to function. as a side note, you should never run an engine over 80% of it's total power output. Unless you enjoy frequent engine rebuild expenses.
Yes, Fendt tractors are powered by Deutz/Agco engines. Challenger, Fendt, Gleaner, GSI, Massey Ferguson, Row Gator, Terra Gator, Sunflower Manufacturing, Valtra all run similar AGCo engines
Don't know that, you have seen my comment. And a little bit updated comment. You should also use the Autodrive mod, it will make, driving cars and tractors so easy. And you can hire a AIworker for the Vines and the Olives. And there is a unload combine feature in it. You should see the tutorial of it. And you should also use the Front Lifter mod, if you use it, you can do some insane things. And you should also use the GPS mod. You can do field works more straight.
If u haven’t noticed he wants to be realistic and not use all this auto stuff. And stop commenting 5hid on every video it’s so annoying and it’s not working
Get David's 82 TLX 2020 pickup. I've got it on elmcreck and use it as; dump truck, tanker, flatbed(pallets, bales, etc.), pulling a heavy flatbed (I've even used it to move the big Claas wheel loader), commuter and there are other things you can use it for
I would wait for the TLX Truck - coming out early this week. Much more powerful and much more versatile. The Gator is cool, but is kinda made obsolete with the TLX...unless you are specifically running JD equipment only. Maybe something nice to get later on so TLX can have a little brother in the garage.
Don't forget you can sell the junk near the chicken pen and have some space for bales and equipment, get the JD gator with the weight on front its very versatile for the tight roads and can pull a trailer
I dont normally do this but because i had two really big fields ready to harvest in august, which is always only one game day, i moved the time to real time so it stayed daylight longer and i managed to harvest both fields. I just used the round baler we had for the straw and i bought the cheapest harvester to get througg harvest quicker so while one worker is harvesting each field i am emptying. I found the trailer holding so little to be what i had to change so i could bale more between emptying harvester. Also, the seeder is a direct drill so we dont need to cultivate at all, we just need to take each field as is and harvest and plant the seeds to get yield for money then plow next year.
Daggerwin great series on the farm! What are your pc specs and graphics settings? A video on this could be good! Also show us your gaming setup!! Thanks keep it up!
There is a fuel tank at both of the farm yards. You can sell one or both of them for a large sum of money which could be used to buy additional equipment. That is what I did to fund the purchasing of loading wagon, animal equipment, etc.
This episode might be Daggerwins best! Everything is dialed in. Visuals, time lapses, and even got to hear the tractor engine running this time. Brilliant!
Hi daggerwin love your channel been watching since fs15 and just wanted to say you’ve inspired me to start my own channel myself and would love for you to take a look if you would as would love some tips from the pro himself. Thanks again and great video as always 👍
I know its been said before ..but What a stunning map ..excellent work! Thanks Daggerwin for all the video's and work you put in 😄👍 Ps. Has anyone played in VR/ 3D ?
There is a planned update by OD already for this map. He states according to DJNoFarm that it needs to come out with future patch 1.3...however, please use your contacts with OD to find out if this will require a map restart?? For your sake and ours, inquiring minds want to know!!
Field 4 really needs a gate across from the entrance to the yard you have. From playing it myself I find it awkward getting machinery into it the long way around.
You’re talking about using the clutch as break but in newer tractor like the case and John Deere we own the breaks won’t stop the tractors in gear, you have to push the clutch in to come to a complete stop. But if you want to switch gears you can can just throttle all the way down and throw it in reverse, it’s the beauty of shuttle shift. But you really so hardly ever use the actually breaks in a tractor, at least for me.
Conrats for this awesome video. I've been playing the same map for a few days and watched your videos to have some idea baout the map. We actually have the similar equipment. I have a McCormic instead of your MF, and a Hesston 4910 baler from 4D modding. You can see the baler at Scroft's video. It goes well with this farm, but makes the bales of bigger sizes.
Hey dagger, could you set the amount of working mirrors to max? Its just a detail, but i think it would increase the level of realism involved, and it also stops some flickering. For the rest, i am really enjoying al of your videos!
You really don't need to plow if the game doesn't want you to. In real life more and more farmers try to completely forgo plowing altogether, because it often does more harm than good to the fields.
round bales are easyer to stack in game and in real life if you move one bale next to another and then stab them boath at the same time instead of trying to pick one up whilst 1 is still on fork. this makes the bales closer together on the forks and makes them the same hight as each other so that they boath come off the forks at the same time when loading on to a trailer or a stack
