@jackgunn1480, I advise You to get an acquintance with the Russian war-propaganda as it is working inside Russia. It is much harder and more aggressive than the Western propaganda ever can be. The Russian war-propaganda, which is targeted to the foreigners, is much more balanced and calm compared to the one operating inside Russia.

I am living in Canada too and I feel you. After the Cold War, the Western bloc was so powerful that no one stood against it. You are absolutely right. Very few militaries have the whole package, size, weaponry, skills and experience. Indian army, I am afraid, is not upto the mark. It's military has been politicized and corrupted. I was shocked to learn that the present govt decided to make major changes. Only a small procent are professional most are recruits with a 4 year deployment. After that they are no longer in the army and will take civiluan jobs.

I am pretty sure china russia NK soldiers are disciplined and are well trained.

Turkey is fighting against Kurdish groups both within the country and beyond its borders for the last forty years and this transformed the Turkish army a lot in time. It also effected the development of defense industry.

It seems they have started to realize that. A few days ago some drones were shot down near Murmansk, Russia. A Finnish politician claimed that they were launched from Finland. Soon after the Finnish PM, for the first time, said that Finland will not launch any attacks from its terrotories and will not allow Finland to be used for attacking Russia. I think all this is a result of President Putin's warning, that Washington has taken seriously. The about turn re long distance missile attack is the result. With US not willing to escalate, Finns may have had a second thought. Swedes still hiding their head in the sand. Not for long though.
