I am listening to this as someone who is very thirsty and who comes to a refreshing source of water 🙌 Authorizing myself to pause and enjoy the present time…When you read the Bible looking for hurry, you realize God certainly wants us to focus more on being still and know that He is God 🙌 Blessings from Paris, France.
I'm thankful for this message because I need it, but where I live, Christianity and spiritual practices like this is a waste of time when it means loss of productivity and time is money. For believers, I've heard feedback that even in attending worship service, people would rather go to the early service to "get it over with" as if their duty is done and that's it. Teaching the Bible in Bible study is one thing because it's easy to talk, for them, but when it comes to even worship, it's precious time that can't be wasted when time = profit . Sad, I know.
But this is not about the people where you live... This is about the person that lives in your house. This is about you and your apprenticeship to Jesus ONLY! This is about practicing a 'way of life' that Jesus invites you into and its just that, a invitation that you can take or leave. Spiritual Disciplines/”Rules of Life” DO NOT change us! This is so important! What I need to understand is that spiritual disciplines have no merit or power in and of themselves. I am NOT a better Christen than others because I practice them. I do not become better by practicing them. The ONLY thing they do for is make a create a larger space for me to engage with God. That's all! Blessings Jesus invites you!
Why put New wine in Old wineskins? Be led by the Spirit. Love the other as you love yourself. Don't be selfish. All will "slow down" as it applies to life. Priority is Love of all. As Christians every day should be Sabbath. We have entered the Rest of God when we have entered Christ. Good messages but hurry is a symptom of the bigger problem. Follow Jesus and pay attention to others as he did. Things will be best. That is the Life Eternal. Follow the commandment of Jesus. Love your neighbor as yourself.
This is exactly his message. Especially if you listen to all his other messages on this topic. This video is one of the shorter options, again because we are in to much of a hurry to listen to the longer sermons❤️
Helette Loubser, I understand what you are saying (thanks for the comment btw) but am lost about what From The Wilderness is trying to convey. It's ok though. Blessings folks
