Great episode! I think it could be remade today under 2 conditions: 1. It's a satire of other sitcoms AND 2. It's done in reverse with an ignorant American going over to Europe Possibly also: 3. It's an animated show for adults (I'm thinking something like Drawn Together) Even so, I still wouldn't green light it. This show really is one of the worst of the cheesy/improbable 80s sitcoms.

Thank you! We agree with you on the way that you wrote the reboot. An ignorant American living abroad would be great. If it were to be rebooted that way I would want to see the show modeled to have some elements of cheesy 80's/90's sitcoms, while mixed with "An Idiot Abroad". I could see it working either live-action, or animated.
