Was born in 2001. Have never watched a King's playoff game live or in person. My entire life as a fan for this team, growing up playing basketball and hating the lakers as everyone else seemed to love them, nothing means more to me than seeing this team go to the playoffs after so long. Love to see the love. This feeling is surreal.

Man, it made me tear up when Kayte was talking about the Kings while tearing up. I’m glad you and other people who have been around for the organization have finally got the chance to see this team succeed. I’ve been an active fan for the last 6 years, so I’ve had it easier than most people. But even those 6 years were some painful years to watch. I can’t wait to go to the first playoff game.

We made it!!! I wasn't expecting it, but when there were about 2 minutes left in the game I started breaking down. The first Kings game I went to was in '94 against the Pacers in Arco Arena. I grew up watching Mitch Richmond. A lot of us were devasted when he was traded and we started the Webber era. But as soon as we started seeing Jason Williams balling out, we knew there was something special. The '02 WCF still goes down as the worst betrayal from a league against a franchise. Even Lakers fans will admit that the Kings got robbed. Part of the pain of this 16-year drought is knowing what was stolen from the Kings, their fans, the city of Sacramento, and even all of Northern California. The Kings were so big in the early 2000's they even had fans around the world. This feeling isn't just joy, but almost a feeling of exhaustion, like ending a nearly generation-long marathon. It reminds us of all the memories the Kings have brought us over the year, good and bad.

It’s beyond surreal…I‘m from Taiwan, and as a mariners fan and kings fan at the same time, ultimate combination!!! being a Kings fan for nearly 24yrs, never have a chance to any live game, but I’m moved 100% by the genuine emotion behind every single words you said, we’ve been through a lot isn’t it😢

What an amazing turnaround! One year ago, the Kings were unwatchable and faith in the organization was sorely tested. Either Fox or Barnes dutifully showed up after the games for brutal post-game questions. Tonight in a sports miracle, the Boyz on the Beam have taken this team to the NBA playoffs. Hallelujah!

I'm from Portugal and been a Kings fan since 2013, so everything I ever knew was playoff desert. This moment is amazing and I hope one day I will get to see a Sac game in the Golden One Center.

I am still crying at times of happiness. So many times I wanted to move on. Give up. But I couldn’t, and this feeling is truly one of the best in my life.

I’m so happy for us Kings fan. It’s been a tough stretch for us…and that’s an understatement. From the Here We Stay days, to going to a new arena, to multiple draft busts, multiple coaches, to the Demarcus trade, to the Haliburton trade, to getting treated like crap in the all star, to not making a big trade on deadline….I mean the roller coaster of emotions we all had to go through was crazy. There were times I kinda wanted to give up on this team but I never did. Didn’t even know if I was gonna see a good Kings team again in my lifetime lol. But we here now!!!! The beam is real. Hi Matt, I have been enjoying listening to your podcast this year. I am a new fan this year, I never watched the NBA before but with Iowa having their first NBA starter in many many years, I decided I would watch the Kings. (I'm a Hawkeye fan from Iowa.) The first game I happened to watch was the Jazz vs Kings game in December where Huerter hit the 3. What a first game to watch! And while I initially started watching for Keegan, I now love this whole team. They're so unselfish and work so well together and are fun to watch. Breaking the drought undoubtedly doesn't mean as much for me as it does for others, but I am very happy for the people of Sacramento (now fellow fans!) that they can celebrate this accomplishment. Keegan breaking the rookie 3's record alongside just made it that much sweeter. Living in Iowa, you get to pretty much pick whichever pro sports team you want to watch and is your favorite, since we have no native teams. I'm now proud to say I'm a Kings fan for the NBA!

I have lived in sac since i was 4 and been an honorary kings fan since then i would go to games casually with my family but not up until 2014/2015 did i really start to follow this team my best friend and i went to school and saw everyone who was anyone wearing warriors jerseys and we were like ??? what we have a team here in this city and since that day him and i have been dedicated for hard fans i remember being laughed at when i would say i was a kings fan and going into this season i told everyone watch out and here we are love this team forever 🟣🦁

Let me say...I am truly happy for the Kings fans. The organization, the players, the city and Kings fans all over the world. I know Mariners fans were probably hoping the Kings drought would continue for one reason. So they wouldn't have the record for the longest playoff drought in history anymore. For the next few days...soak it all in. Enjoy it. Cry. Be happy. Party. Celebrate. But, know...the real work begins now as well. As it is likely the Warriors in the first round and it will be a war. They are the defending Champs and will not be an easy team to beat on their home floor. Granted...they have played like crap on the road, so as long as the Kings protect home court advantage, should be okay. Oh, and...1 more win...and I believe this team is the Pacific Division Champs as well. Obviously, 4 wins in the final 6 games...and they finish with 50 wins. So...from 30-52 to a possible 50-32 record...that is one hell of a great turn around. It is possible they could win all six and make it a full flip of last seasons record. 52-30. But...from someone who fell in love with the city and the team and became my second team and even though I don't live anywhere close anymore, I am very happy to see this. There were a few years with DeMarcus Cousins and Rudy Gay where I thought...if this team can get that last piece of the puzzle....they could make the playoffs. I remember watching the games with Grant calling them and hearing the frustration in his voice. Knowing how good this team could be and should be. And it was like nothing brought them together. But that entire time...one also knew the love he had for the team and the city and fans. How excited we all were to keep the team in Sacramento. Of which...while Kevin Johnson might not have been a very good person...he deserves his props for helping to keep the team in Sacramento. So cheers Sacramento. You deserve it.
