Join me as I explore both of Ma Deva Padma’s tarot decks. Discover the similarities and differences between these two beautiful decks, released almost 30 years apart.
This has been a very useful exercise because, I never really understood the Osho Zen. Being able to see the 2 side by side gives a better insight to both decks. I would use them as an oracle deck but, having learnt originally with the Swiss Tarot, I still think that you are limiting the reading to someone else's interpretation of the cards when using the RWS or like minded decks. Both these decks have their own beauty though. Thank you for the walk through.
Interesting decks. Osho Zen Tarot was one of my first decks (the first was Jodorowsky's Marseille). I always found it interesting, with its syncretic approach, taking inspiration from different religions and traditions. But that was Osho's philosophical approach. I was introduced by this deck, centuries ago, by a friend of mone who happened to be a Rajneesh. I had interesting reading with this deck. I like the way it was created, even if Osho is not my cup of tea :)
This was really interesting to see, I have always wanted to get the Osho Zen Tarot but I can never find a copy in English, I will have to try again. I enjoyed seeing these 😍❤️
I was never drawn to work with the Osho Zen, but as soon as you were showing The Sacred She on your live, I was instantly drawn to it. It's weird to me as the artwork isn't really my style. After this comparison video, I ended up ordering both decks! 😂 Seeing them side by side made me understand the Osho Zen more. I thought it deviated too much from tarot but I can see the connection now. I prefer the Osho Zen artwork compared to The Sacred She. But I prefer the titles on The Sacred She more than the Osho Zen. Now you know why I ended up buying both! 😅😂
Wow 30 years later and I still find myself pulling the Osho Zen pretty regularly this last year …. I have The Sacred She and find it lovely too but haven’t worked with it much because I thought oh I have the Osho Now you’ve made me want to pull The Sacred She back out!!❤ Thanks for this comparison !
Simon I have all three decks created by Ma Deva Padma. I recently got her Tao Oracle and am getting acquainted with it. I use The Sacred She Tarot for mediumship readings intuitively. I love the powerful imagery. Like you I do not use the Master in the OSHO Zen Tarot. Being honest, Osho creeps me out . I enjoyed your comparison side by side. Thank you.
