Dark Prince is such a fun card and has one of the best designs in the game. Clear strengths and weaknesses and just insanely fun to play with. I actually didn’t use the dark prince much in the beginning, but after some years, the card grew on me.
DP is such a fun card and well designed card. They literally just took a existing troop and made another variation but it still serves a unique roll, just like they did with the mini PEKKA. And apparently it works.
I still remember, i was in highschool when the Dark Prince dropped, i remember double prince decks being so dominant that We The Council, decided to perform checks in everyone's decks and outright ban the use of both princes in a single deck in the whole class, this eventually caught up with the whole school... Good days...
Hey small comment on the math for the first damage buff: if dark prince was first buffed for 8% damage and then later that number gets improved by 7.5% the total compared to pre-buff dark prince is not 15.5 but instead 1.08*1.075= 1.0161 or 16.1% increased damage compared to pre buff since the second buff gets applied not only to the original damage but also the extra damage provided by the first buff. Great video overall!
dark prince is one of those cards that has pretty much been useful for so long and yet isn't hated at all. just a good card that is well designed and fun to use. one of my favorite cards
Beautiful video brother, I was a Gratz viewer until I found this, I’ve grown as a human being. Thank you for this insightful video on my favorite card. Very cinematic and incredibly enjoyable, you have a new subscriber and a new member of the discord server!💪❤️
My nickname used to be "DarkPrince" so when I installed this game and saw this card I was like "I NEED TO MAIN THIS CARD, IN-EVERY-DECK" By far my fav card, the only one that comes close is probably PEKKA
That's a great video, ARCTO. I love it very much ! Dark Prince is my favorite card, I use it in 100% of my matches since I unlocked him in the end of 2017.
the video is great, but it seems to me that you should comment less on the matches, and choose 15-30 seconds where the card shows itself well and analyze them.
Woah, another banger documentary about Clash Royale? Thanks for this, as I feel reluctant to watch Gratz again after knowing his "allegations" 😭 Earned a sub, keep up the good work ‼️
i maxed out my dark prince, its my favorite card❤. its so good for 4 elixir, it can block a whole sparky shot and a pekka shot with its shield, it charges and does so much dps, and it does splash??? what more could u ask for???
I havent seen anything about this game for years. RU-vid recommends me this and its so high quality wtf! I remember when I downloaded the canada apk on my bad old phone to play Clash Royale months earlier and I still have that account xD
I like your videos! This and the firecracker were well done. If I were to offer a constructive critique, though, I would like a more in-depth analysis of the implications of balance changes. For instance, at 38:55, you talk about the DP's 3% hp buff. You say the he exploded in popularity. But you don't necessarily cover why. Did a fundamental interaction change, like surviving Fireball? Another hit from PEKKA if PEKKA was meta? If nothing changed, even an mention that this was a pseudo buff would be nice, and just put the card in people's radar. You do a great job of showing its usage between buffs by the portion of its pressence in top ladder between buffs, but know more about the balance changes around a card would be nice too. You also don't show how MUCH the popularity exploded. Maybe consider offering percentages, like say DP's presence went from X% pre-buff to Y% post-buff. And when you're talking about the presence of DP, maybe point out why he was popular/unpopular depending on the meta game around him, like if tanks countered him or swarm was a feast for him. You actually did this well with the 2.6 Xbow segment! I just appreciate knowing the hard evidence like statistics (such as how you bring DP being the most played card!) and reasonings for a card's drastic resurgence or irrelevance. Keep up the great work though!
I really liked him in 3M Pump deck I played back in 2019, if his evo comes out in this year, it will be the only time I ever buy the diamond pass in this game
Sheesh, this reminded me when I started playing clash royale in 2017 with giant skeleton and dark prince, and I quit the game twice and returned for the 3rd time just a year ago and still using those two goobers, but on a fun deck I made called shield clone deck, they can't use a spell to kill them and they need to use more stuff or arrows
I want to point out that dark prince nowadays is a mid ladder manace, mid ladder has either: Witch+wizard combo Double prince Double prince+witch+wizard He is just horrible to deal with, high splash damage so even barberians stood no chance, and goblins who fairly nice counter regular prince are nothing to dark prince, and this mf has a shield AND can charge!!?? Truly something mid ladder players don't want to face against although mega minion is very strong against him and zap can stop his charge so there is a counterplay
@@arcto2 Oh I didn't mean anything is wrong with the video, in fact I watched all the way through and enjoyed it. I was just pointing out another youtuber named "Gratz" makes similar CR card history videos as you.
