Hello my brothers and sisters when I did my to year study of my Bible this chapter 13 of first kings is one of my many favorite's praise the word of the Lord Jesus Christ forever............. the word of the Lord is the tree of Life 🌄🌄🌄
hm....i read the bible 2 times from cover to cover and did not remember this story....thats why it is good to read it every day, because we miss so many things.
Me too is the first time I've heard about the prophet of God killed by a lion. Immediately after the video I goggle the heading wow here it is 1 Kings 13:1-34, thanks. It reminded me of Deuteronomy 10:12-13 And now, O Israel, what does the LORD your God ask of you but to fear the LORD your God to walk in all His ways, to love Him,to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and to observe the LORDs commands and decree that I am giving today for your own good.
You must follow what God said ,keeping his commandments....if you study your bible, you would know his commandments are forever . Until earth and heaven are gone........
@@danaleanne38 That's for service not salvation. Salvation is absolutely free and not conditional upon service to God. You've got another gospel of faith plus works equals salvation nonsense here 💯.
You fail to mention that under Solomon's rule he in his old age, worshipped Moloch, causing GOD to rend the kingdom from Solomon's son. Solomon's failure to follow GOD'S word in the end caused these events to unfold. The old prophet deceiving the Prophet of GOD tells us to always remember what GOD tells us to do regardless of what anyone other than GOD says as the moral of this story.
That reminds me of Good Friday. The Crucifixion of Our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ today. Thanks 😊 for the info of the Holy Bible's Old Testament story.
Were in the end times now. All the saints will be returning with our savior Yeshua for vengance against the world and their sins against the most Highs Prophests.
We have to be wary of listening to strange voices. 1) 1 Kings 13:11-13. The "old prophet" who may not even have been a prophet of God, because Israel hadn't been given prophets during the times of David to Rehoboam, so it's not possible for him to be a prophet of God. 2) Verse 14- he already knew that he was "the man of God from Judah," which denoted that he must have known the difference between them and who they both served. Still, he got his attention by validating his office. (Lust of the eyes). 3) Verse 15; Like the serpent in the garden of Eden, he engaged the man of God in conversation, in order to get to his weakness, by giving him a direct command "come home with me, and eat bread " (Lust of the flesh verses 19-23). He told him God's commands, which gave the old prophet a way in to deceive him. The command was not meant for anyone else, thus He didn't have to explain to anyone. He must have said it to let the old prophet know that he had actually heard from God, by the "word of God" (pride of life). Verse 18. Although God had sent him by His word, the "old prophet" said to him, " I am a prophet also as thou art; AN ANGEL spoke to me by the WORD OF THE LORD..." This should clearly have been a red flag: Word of God and an angel shouldn't be in the same sentence. God had sent the man of God from Judah, by His word; but an angel had been sent to the old prophet, by this same word of the Lord! So, God couldn't have sent the same angel, by His word to the man of God from Judah to let him know about His change of plan? God wasn't dealing with Israel at that time except through the priests who minister in the temple. God only sent His word to the man of God from Judah for David's sake. Israel had been torn apart and given to strangers at that time. Thus, "he lied unto him"! The man of God from Judah went back with him, at the mention of "the word of God," while ignoring "an angel." Verses 19-22. Even though it's written that "the word of the Lord came unto the old prophet ", the wicked spirit in him perverted the message and used it to condemn and curse the man of God from Judah. The spirit in him said, " the Lord THY God," not "Our." And his prophecy actually came to pass. The old prophet was actually aware of his own shortcomings as a fake prophet of God. Although he coveted the power of God in the man of God from Judah, he could only lament his corpse and identified with him as "brother," even though they're of different spirit and calling. But because He was a man of God, and the Spirit of God was upon him to speak with authority to the alter, and Jeroboam, the lion couldn't touch his corpse. The same anointing was in Daniel, Shadrack, Meshack, and Abednego, which also is in every Believer in Christ. They all have glorified bodies that nothing can destroy at the moment of peril or danger or death. Even though the corpse of the man of God was cast in the way Verse 24, his soul already went back to the Lord. Therefore, Believers in Jesus Christ should be very careful not to be deceived by self proclaiming pastors, who preach messages other than the gospel of salvation of the soul, by grace through faith in the sacrificial death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ! Otherwise, just like the man of God from Judah, they will not only lose their lives but also their souls. Most self acclaimed priests and prophets get envious when God chooses others for His work: 1 Kings 22:1-28. Micaiah may not have been a chosen priest at the time, but the Lord chose him to bring conviction to His people. Those prophets who were appointed by Jezebel- prophets of Baal and Asherah, ruled the northern kingdom of Israel. One of them, Zedekiah slapped him for speaking for God verse 24, just like Pashur the priest, and governor of the house of God did, because he couldn't bear the fact that God would send His word through other than him Jeremiah 20:1-6 (fulfilled 29:21-22- probably at the same time of the story of the 3 Hebrew boys, whom Nebuchadnezzar used to intimidate them to force them to bow down and worship his image); also Hananiah the prophet 28:1-17. Clearly, these priests and prophets were ministering outside of God's will and have been clearly rejected by God for their apostasy. It is noteworthy to find out that the same lying spirit operates in them, both the old prophet and Zedekiah and all modern pastors and prophets. They're all from the father of lies- devil John 8:44. By their fruits ye shall know them! Death and the grave have no power over the Believer as long as they abide in the fold of Jesus Christ until He returns to redeem His purchased possession. 1 Corinthians 15. Abide in the Way, the Truth, and the Life! They have passed from death to life, and in the new world, eternal life. John chapters 10-17; 1 John 5:11-12.
To those who are confused or curious. It’s in 1 kings 13: 11-34. It pretty much knocked him and donkey around and killed them. which is just as terrifying…..not the story of Daniel in the Lion’s den 👒✝️
Yeah the first time I read that story, I thought why did God allow his prophet to get killed, but thinking about it, I realized that the prophet should have stood on God's word and NOT man's word.. In this case a liar that claimed to be a prophet..
Beware from the Wrath of God. Seen that long time ago. From time to time God never change. Even He sent His only Son, that doesn't mean He won't angry again. Many demons have been punished, or detain in special prison waiting for end of time judgement. And many dead man still in hell for eternal torture, not only a criminals or sinner, but also priest and many evangelist. Just follow God exactly as He told to human from time to time and to what Jesus been said in His teaching.
Why wasn’t the scripture I kings chapter 13 included in the video so that we could immediately confirm and validate your video? After all wasn’t the fact that the prophet was led astray by someone whom he trusted, a very important part of the story?
I expect the narrator expects you to be fully mature in The Word of YAHUAH so that you yourself do not believe everything he says but go and search the word diligently for your self to see if these things be true.. Acts 17:11… After all…the narrator does not “claim” to be a prophet..only a researcher of The Word..
God is supreme. Yet the Head Prophet helped the widow of the dead prophet by performing miracle of the cruse of oil into many jars of oil sold to pay the debt of the dead prophet. The debt was incurred because of his loan from the king and this loan was used to feed the 700 hundred prophets that remained loyal to God . We need to seek godly council before partaking anything or making actios ns. Let us discern whatGod' will is
God loves Jacob (our soul) and Esau (hairy, our carnal five senses) he hated: BOTH are within us: Jacob has to rise above Esau to save Esau in the end because Esau only gets the LIGHT through Jacob who must go up the ladder (rapture-Feast of Tabernacles after he receives the atonement, reconciliation to Hashem) to get it directly from God: Jacob fears his own carnal mind once he rises above it and his ego) because it may take back the blessing and kill him so Jews think Esau is Christianity and Islam because they are always trying to kill the Jews: God has not made it clear that these two forces are both within them (same person), so hate continues among Abraham's descendants and I for one am done with them. I love my connection through Jacob the past 31 years but the UNGODLINESS Jacob needs corrected is hating his brother without a cause: I think Esau had a reason to hate but did Jacob? NEITHER of them do if they BOTH accept the will of God in that part of themselves; God made your carnal mind (animal skins he put Adam and Eve into) to be ruled by your soul (Jacob) but he made your soul to rule over Esau with justice, not fear and hate, and JUSTICE can only COME by a DIRECT CONNECTION to Hashem which comes only by the ANOINTING.(Messiah within us, the heart of the temple we are
