He was also a gourmet cook - a friend recently gave me a copy of a Vincent Price cookbook. And an author, when I was a teenager, I read a book that he'd written about his dog. He also had a great sense of humor. I was fortunate to have seen him live twice. Once in a lecture series: The Villains Still Persue Me, where he said, "I hope you don't mind if I read you some Poe (wicked laugh), because I'm going to do it anyway." And once in Damn Yankees, where he was deliciously evil as the devil. There was a running gag where there'd be a puff of smoke and he'd produce a lit cigarette. One time it didn't work, the cigarette wasn't lit. So, he just looked at it, said, "Well, I was trying to quit anyway." And flipped it into the orchestra pit. 😄

He was probably too old by then, unfortunately. He was 38 years old for this broadcast. Roger Moore was almost 16 years younger than Price.
