They turned the Saints Row cast into characters from GTA's Impotent Rage universe.

At least all the OG games have fun characters and epic gameplay even if you might not like the story, but the Reboot on the other hand as decent gameplay when it works, but shit story and shit characters and feels further fromt he roots of Sainst Row then even Gat Outta Hell did, the Reboot is that bad that I'd ran Gat Outta Hell as better.

Saints row world design got progressively worse every installment and idk why, stilwater was nice, steelport was okay but it felt like a worse Liberty City, then.. whatevee the hell the reboot had

a big difference is just trees and wildlife, if theres no suburbia and its just open desert with genuinely nothing out there. I cant in my right mind see who would wanna explore that. just open yellow land between the next city.

@@cookupbrando_6544 I got 35 bucks for it so a little over half of what I spent. I used that mine to instead get a copy of watch dogs since I never finished it when it came out and no longer than the game and I bought my sister a copy of mafia definitive edition since she hadn't played it yet

Then they went off the rockers by 4 game and agents of mayhem which may not be saints game but it takes place in a recreated world made by gat after his trip in hell and reboot is a blantly bad mistake by people who clearly didn't read the room, overpromised under deliver, hell story was dog shit stupid and annoying, trying to appeal to a generation who probably didn't gave a shit about the game (aka twitter crowd), and clearly publisher embracer group and other top executives are out of touch with gamers as usual. You may enjoy it sure good for you. Everyone else just found it sad that this game and studio that build it had died because of corpo meddling and greed.

(Not joking that actually happened and it was way too late to apologize.)

They didn’t get shut down they were consolidated into Plaion Software or whatever they call themselves.

The thing is it ISN'T an overall bad game. Story =/= game. That's the problem with people. They think the story is absolute when it isn't

1mill copies on a pre-existing IP with a legacy is terrible. Considering those sales involve the game sold at discount and not refunds too. A new SR shouldve done 4million with ease. This hunk of crap saw a 80% drop off in two weeks. Dragons dogma was a new neiche af IP and did 500k at the start

SR4, GooH & AoM showed the community the direction the companies were wanting to take it... when people PAYING for the games were telling them they wanted something closer to SR2 or at least a mix betweenn 2 & 3. Listen to your INSTALLED base & NOT the people who you want to court to but are basically telling you they won't be buying the game anyway. It's like people who think GTA4 & it's 2 DLCs is better than GTAV's story... which is looking better than GTA6'S story already

​@@RtistiqSkubie Saints Row 3 sold three times as many copies as the SR Reboot over the same amount of time way back in 2011. If Volition actually made a good game, one that combined all the best aspects of the previous titles, it easily could've surpassed those numbers.

i replayed the first one like 2 years ago that is still in my opinion more fun than gta 3 and vice city.
