Calming and great gathering room. Her style is sleek and the ceiling is spot on and pulls the space together in a subtle way while delineating the space as a “great room”! Love it 🩵
Brave choice for the ceiling but it turns out beautiful. The aesthetic is elegant and classy and fits the tone of the house. Suzanne Kasler is very gifted in design.
Suzanne Kasler is so classic! I remember the first time I saw her featured in a magazine, she wore a beautiful ballgown skirt with a white blouse! Normally, when listening to designers, they are repetitive, say juxtaposition and/or integrated at least 10 times, and like me, say "and, uhh, and uhhhhh" lol - Susanne's speech is very measured with well thought out narratives, which is just not the norm for anyone describing something. It just struck me that she is meticulous in every way. I bet she knows how to have fun too though! Beautiful room!
@@flower-magazine it is beautiful. With the gorgeous salon I wouldn't want to see the kitchen. That is just me, I am not a fan of open concept. Suzanne Kasler is my favorite.
I've always appreciated Suzanne's subtle and elegant style. And this show house was exceptional in the collaboration of the designers. However, as a personal preference, I would have preferred that the kitchen had its own room in this particular home, especially since the space itself is so large.
Lovely room and house. Beautiful job with a potentially difficult space kitchen/salon. I think if I lived there, I’d clear add, etched glass “floating” panels past the bar area, maybe 6, that could move open or closed. You’d still see the beautiful kitchen but could have the illusion, if wanted, of separation.
8:39 Why does every decorator assume this? Some people have cooks and others have furniture, drapes, pillows, etc. that they don't want infused with cooking smells. I'm also not a huge fan of watching people cook while at a dinner party. It would be nice to see an elegant and livable home with intimate spaces and retreat areas vs. one large, open room dedicated to cooking-eating-living.
@@cjenkins8785 Unless you're installing an industrial wind tunnel, no residential stove vent can clear all odors from a cooking area. Especially strong ones, e.g., bacon, fish, garlic in stir-fry, et cetera.
I watch countless design channels because I love incorporating their ideas into my own home. This is the first time in the countless videos I’ve watched that the designer said “I” so many times I lost count. She obviously works with a team, but not once did she say “we”. That says a lot about her. Totally turned me off of anything she had to say. Unfortunate for the people that work for her.
I don't understand the big formal salon with the kitchen at the end. Then there's another working kitchen in the back? What is the first one for - just a show kichen? Such excessive waste. Would have been better with a large dining table there.
