The Sandbank Lock in Dundee Pond, Windham Maine in depth 

The Sandbank Lock is a remnant of the Cumberland & Oxford Canal from the 1820s and 30s. It has been underwater in Dundee Pond for at least 40 years. Recent work on the dam at Dundee Pond required draining of the pond. This is a look at Sandbank Lock in 2024.
As of 9.12.24, repairs of the dam were complete and the pond was refilling. This means most of what you are seeing here will be underwater by 10.1.24
