Hi everyone editor here. This is a reupload as the previous version of the video had transphobic content that I should not have included in the video, I take full responsibility. Trans people going through voice training should not be made fun of and I apologize. Hope you all enjoy the video :)
Im trans myself and I didnt think it was offensive at all, all they heard was a voice that sounded like it was being edited and yes it did sound comedic, if the person said they were trans and then they still proceeded to laugh it would have been different, but im glad you still owned up to it, chad behaviour
I didnt see the original clip but its definitely better to air on the side of caution, and its very based that they even thought about the impact it might have and took it out though.
@@BagelBoi4000 the original was a person talking in voice and it sounded like voice changer, and they (im not sure if their pronouns) kind of played into it and everyone was laughing, and then they said "oh im trans" steff cut too a black screen and said "if you laughed youre transphobic" or something to that effect. I thought it was light-hearted, but im not the demographic it was aimed at so i can't say how it felt. W steff and W super for owning it though.
Exactly! I'm also trans and the joke sounds funny. The transgender person was also taking part of the joke, so I don't think they thought it was offensive.
@@senpaikratos8741 no one was crying. I don’t believe even the person who the joke was pointed at felt attacked because they were playing into it. But many people left comments on the original video saying they found it insensitive, so steffy reuploaded it
By the way everyone wondering that junk at the end is kissmyjunk. He’s a pretty small RU-vidr and streamer but he streams pretty consistently. If you want top tier junk content you should check him out
I skipped classes because I had a stomach ache. I was sad, but I thought it'd be funny if super uploaded a video today (and I could watch it early). And here I am. So, kids, education isn't worth it. It's way better to watch Super fall into despair than hear your Maths teacher talking about his wife. Edit below: I've replied to Stef's comment already, but just wanted to say again that it's ok to make mistakes. I know you didn't have bad intentions and probably assumed the girl talking was a "dude pretending to be a girl" just for fun. Thank you so much for admitting you were wrong. In my case, as a trans person myself, for what I read about the joke... I don't find it offensive, but that's MY case. I know it could have hurt other trans fellas and it's valid. I just wanted to let you know that you're amazing for apologizing. Trust me, there are worse people out there making horrible queer jokes on a daily basis and don't apologize. Seeing your comment and the fact you deleted the video, means you aren't like them at all. Thank you.
i didn't watch the original video but respect to Steff for owning up to an honest mistake! Thanks for helping make the best overwatch content on youtube!
He did not make a Mistake. It was funny because IT sounded funny. not because he was trans or whatever. Are we not allowed to laugh at funny sounds in video game voice now?
that junk literally just pressed lmb aiming at air & wall bounced nades in a choke and won the game, zero skill ceiling hero, that shit needs to be reworked IMMEDIATELY.
because being soy is being willing to admit when you did something wrong, being willing to apologize, and being willing to be nice to everyone no matter what they are. and being manly and brave is standing your ground when you're wrong, never feeling remorse and not caring about anyone?
@@yuumibook9619 I mean honestly grow up.. there are actual issues in the world like homelessness, famine, war poverty. The least of our worries is someone who made a choice being offended. Like the world doesn’t revolve around you or what you think is “right” pls get a realistic world view. I don’t honestly see any harmful intent with the last video was literally there bc it was FUNNY and that’s what we need in a world with so much despair.
@@det0x268 i mean, seems like you're just bitching idk man. and plus you say "there are actual issues" so you know people find it an issue when someone is attacked for what they are, and they say "i don't see any harmful intent" like, brother, if you're going to be transphobic can you just skip to the slurs or something?
super upon getting into a match, had their tank pick ball, then saying something along the lines of "yeah no i think ball isn't the play here at all" the ball, a transgender female, spoke in their girlmode voice, "well then i think we're gonna have a problem here" they were seemingly early in their voice training so it sounded to them as it were a voice changer. Super, along with the rest of the team began the laugh about it, not because they were trans but because they legitimately thought it was just a pitch up voice changer. super than laughs out a "what?" in voice, the transfem ball then repeats themself "we're gonna have a problem here because there's gonna be a ball" blah blah blah more laughing, match proceeded as normal i believe, probably more random laughing and or joking about their voice. the balls comes into supers chat AFTER the match explaining they're trans and were doing voice training
Is the music that was playing in the first minute of the video from a recent potion maker game or the music is not made by the developers of the game? (The game is Potionomics)
well i'm already seeing both fellow trans people in the comments and the even more expected transphobia. what a time to be alive, huh? thanks to stef for addressing things and thanks to all my brothers sisters and enbys out here just trying to be who they are and always were
Making fun of a trans person voice isn't transphobia at all. That's like me saying making fun of a black guys voice is racist. Idk why they removed the clip it was fucking hilarious. 90% of ppl didn't even know the person was trans until someone said they were trans.
@@Koirittle did- did you think about the words you just typed? making fun of a trains persons voice, is not transphobic, when they are under going HRT and voice training... and i mean i understand no one knew but if stef thinks that they don't want the clip in and thinks it's too offensive they have the choice to take it out
@@yuumibook9619 Non-trans people need to stop getting offended for trans people. It makes the entire community look like sensitive babies. It makes people scared to even interact with the community because they think they'll offend a trans person and be called transphobic.
@@Koirittle i am trans, MTF, 4 years since transition, defending your community when people are being openly transphobic is not being sensitive, there's no such thing as a bystander, if you're just watching something horrible occur you're doing nothing when you can do something, you're doing something just as bad. and no, people are not scared to interact with the community, the only people i've seen who were afraid to interact with the trans community was the transphobic part of my family, and similarly transphobic people online. i agree non-trans people shouldn't be trying to be offended if they aren't, but the thing is that the comment section is being transphobic, the video wasn't
@@yuumibook9619 It is perfectly fine to be a bystander in the scenario of people just being assholes on the internet. It is not anyones job to defeat transphobia or be the internet police and protect the trans community from jokes. My best friend is trans and her interacting with my other friends is always an awkward experience. People are terrified to make jokes around trans people. The internet makes it look like all trans people are helpless and need to be protected from jokes. Transphobia is obviously something everyone should fight against. But I don't like the idea of non-trans people deciding what is transphobic or offensive. Trans people can stand up for themselves just fine, they don't need people to protect them from mean people on the internet.
I dont think it was meant to be transphobic and there’s comments below of actual trans people agreeing but stef just tryna be respectful and that’s a W in my books
Yesterday I saw this video, meant to watch it later so I left my RU-vid up on it and then it was private. Chad activity for correct whatever went wrong😊
someone, transfem, was speaking in their girlmode voice, seemingly early in voice training, to them it sounded like a voice changer and presumably they thought it was a dude trying to bait as a girl. in other words, they were laughing about a trans person doing something very common for trans people to do, especially in their early stages of transitioning. personally, as a fellow transfem i think it wasn't too far, and if anything it's better to know what you sound like to people so you can keep trying to improve
alright, for anyone wondering what happened, i will state in detail here: super upon getting into a match, had their tank pick ball, then saying something along the lines of "yeah no i think ball isn't the play here at all" the ball, a transgender female, spoke in their girlmode voice, "well then i think we're gonna have a problem here" they were seemingly early in their voice training so it sounded to them as it were a voice changer. Super, along with the rest of the team began the laugh about it, not because they were trans but because they legitimately thought it was just a pitch up voice changer. super than laughs out a "what?" in voice, the transfem ball then repeats themself "we're gonna have a problem here because there's gonna be a ball" blah blah blah more laughing, match proceeded as normal i believe, probably more random laughing and or joking about their voice. the balls comes into supers chat AFTER the match explaining they're trans and were doing voice training personally as someone who is also transfem, i don't feel as if it was too far but it is still better to own up and remove it if they think they should not have included it and i'm glad that everyone is willing to forgive stef and super. i also think i explained a little shitty so if anyone knows better, like they were there on stream as the match happened, please do inform me of anything i missed or misinformed upon
