The Saturdays - My Heart Takes Over 

This song is so underrated. Personally one of my favourite songs by The Saturdays.

Just come here after seeing Frankie being interviewed on BBC Breakfast about her book 'Open'. Sad to know she was in such a bad place with her mental health here (she went into hospital two days after this shoot). Just goes to show that regardless of your status or job that mental struggles can happen to all of us. Just happy she's in a positive place where she can talk about it and hopefully encourage others to do the same. (Also this was such a great single, should've been bigger!)

How is it 5 freaking years since this came out? Bloody hell, where is time going?

has a pretty ratchet memory attached to this song ;) it's Monday morning, raining like someone left a tap on in the Big Bathroom Upstairs. Sitting on my train heading into the City for work whilst listening to this song on max volume AND on repeat, this guy sitting in front of me turns in his seat to ask, pointedly, "have you had that same song playing since we left Manurewa?" Mind you, he was quite beautiful so after about a good 12 seconds' worth of awkward silence I answered, "yeah, so?" not even bothering to pause the song and looking at him like HE was the crazy one. Laughing at my reply, though, he then introduces himself, we get to talking and ... 3 weeks later, we're a couple. Since then I have grown to LOVE this song so much more TBH, and even though the lyrics reflect the complete opposite to my experience, in a sense it kind of helped me to realize just how much I was missing out on in the world and that life's WAY too short to dwell on the negative things, both big and small. Here's to you, Saturdays, for helping me to see the world in a much more ... Brighter perspective, even on the rainy days. #Love, Jae xo

I usually don't like when in a group's song solos are not equally distributed, but this song seems to be written for Vanessa. She gives you goosebumps from the first second till the last.
