Nice! Glad you agree. As it warms up outside, it's making it even hotter inside.

You're review is one of the only I've seen outside. What was the outside temp like? Do you feel like it would work well through cool temps if left outside?
@Recovatech
@Recovatech 6 месяцев назад
So the temps outside have varied quite a bit in the last 6 weeks or so. I've been inside the sauna when it's been in the 30's and could tell it wasn't quite as hot. After 20 minutes inside I still managed to work up a pretty good sweat. That said, it got up to 70 this past week and it was significantly hotter inside..almost suffocatingly so. Bottom line: yes, outdoor temps will affect it, but think it's insulated well enough to still be effective.

i guess my main question is , how would i clean this , after a few days i would want to clean thing inside out to prevent bacteria or mold growth , i know i heard it was machine washable , but is that the sweat mat only or can i also machine wash the whole cover ?
@Recovatech
@Recovatech 7 месяцев назад
I mentioned this yesterday, but if you leave the door open, it dries out fairly quickly. Not machine washable. The inside lining seems like a type of thin vinyl, so the water beads up on the walls and I don't think it's getting absorbed into the out side fabric. For prevention, I think hot water and some dish soap would be all you would need to wipe down the inside or some other mild cleaner.

just don’t rub your body all over the sides and you won’t need to clean it often

What is the temp inside?
@metaluna21
@metaluna21 6 месяцев назад
Temps can vary a bit based on outdoor ambient temps (I keep mine outside). I have been able to get up into the mid-120s. Now keep in mind, the 100% humidity inside the SuanaBox plays a huge factor in effectiveness compared to a dry sauna. I see a lot of people drawing comparisons between the two and they shouldn't. The human body can tolerate much hugher dry heat temps than hot and humid temps.

Ya have seen anything about the off gassing?
@Recovatech
@Recovatech 7 месяцев назад
Are you saying it does off gas or are you asking if it does? I couldn't comment either way. On their website they claim it's certified non-toxic by gosimplelab.com/. I could only take their word for it. On that same note, if off gassing is a concern, you could always leave the tent out in the sun a few days and/or run the steamer a few times while empty to help offset the risk.
@JacksonTaylorandTheSinners
@JacksonTaylorandTheSinners 7 месяцев назад
@@Recovatech I was asking. It looks interesting, but being in a heated cocoon of plastic gives me pause. They’ve got me paranoid with the crap they put in plastic bottles. Lol. It looks like a pretty good little sauna to get the job done if you can’t make it a dry one.

How hot does it get?
@Recovatech
@Recovatech 7 месяцев назад
Unfortunately, I don't have a thermometer on hand to test that ( I probably should). Temps in steam saunas are calculated a bit differently than a traditional sauna in that the humidity is factored into the equation too. I can tell you it gets almost suffocatingly hot, especially if you're standing up.
@Gregdescargar
@Gregdescargar 6 месяцев назад
My ambient temp measured at 100f. The temp coming out right at the steam pot was 150f. If you want a hotter experience I would suggest raising the steam pot to chest level. I used a small stool - worked great. I sweated out 1.5 lbs in 45 min. Also pro tip, bring your phone (in a zip lock bag) and play some tunes or watch some RU-vid to pass the time. Use a large binder clip to attach your phone to the poles. There’s a lot of improvements they can make, but so far I love mine

Does it dry out pretty well afterwards? I plan on keeping it outside in wintermonths, do I need to dry it down or what? Will mold build up?
@Recovatech
@Recovatech 7 месяцев назад
I currently keep it outside and it's been moderately cool here (down into the low 30s at night). After I use it, I just open the door flap nice and wide and allow it to air dry. Within a few hours it's always dry inside and I think because of the cold, absolutely no signs of mold/mildew. And yes, as a preventative measure, wiping it down with a towel is not a bad idea. The inside covering is actually lined with a thin vinyl layer, so it's not actually absorbing into the material from what I can tell. Hope that helps!

Nice, thanks. I was wanting to keep it outside which is in the 20-30s and was wondering if it would be hot in there after I turn it on or if it needs to be inside the house@@Recovatech

@@arielless1118 I have noticed that when it's really cold out, it's not quite as hot inside or at least takes longer to get to temp.

I wish it was hotter. I plan on putting the steamer on a stool rather than the floor to feel more of that heat.
@Recovatech
@Recovatech 6 месяцев назад
@@Gregdescargar I've noticed there are a few things that affect the temp. I keep mine outside and when the temps drop, it definitely doesn't get as hot. We had a day here recently that got up to 70 degrees out and when I went in that day, it was suffocatingly hot. The other thing that helps is standing up. All the heat is up top, so if you're not feeling it while you sit, take a stand. Third, I find it outputs better heat when you take the lid off of the little water collector inside the tent. That way the steam is able to flow more freely.

What about the opening you can see in the zipper line when you first set it up?
@Recovatech
@Recovatech 7 месяцев назад
I can see what you're saying, but its a non issue. I think it's only exagerated because of the sunlight shining through. Otherwise, there is a zipper cover that overlaps. I use this outside and it's been cold and windy and I don't ever feel a draft coming in nor do I notice any steam escaping.
