Every great father deserves an amazing daughter like Æthalflæd of Mercia. I bet Alfred would have been so proud of her if he lived to see her accomplishments, as she and her brother worked hard to build upon his legacy.
My lady of murcia, is my favorite queen of all time. Can't get enough of your content. The way you convey a story, takes me back in time mentally. Thank you
I was afraid that I may suffer from History Profiles withdrawal this week. Thank you for presenting these amazing women, whose stories are rarely told. It almost seems that a woman must be infamous to be known to history.
She was a brilliant young girl to go through what she went through. Then when she became a young woman she showed her brilliance once again. Thank you, a beautiful part of history.❤❤
What a Beautiful Way to learn History Just so happy to have lived to see such Wonderful Internet making Life so much Richer Wish this had existed 50 years ago when I was at school as History and Languages were my favourite subjects
So great to hear the history of early England for a change. Very interesting, especially the role and intelligence of the three Queens. Very well done Thanks much :) 👸🏼👸🏻🌹🌱
Fantastic storytelling and images. It's great that in the current Royal Family, at least Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex*, is proud of his history. (* now Duke of Edinburgh).
I feel bad for Judith. She was just a really young child of her 1st marriage. She probably hadn't even started her menstrual cycle. When she did fall for someone, she was punished for it
A video from Medievalists, Medieval Advice from a Mother to her Son, gives an interesting view of Medieval times from a woman's point of view, but it is sad.
@@KarenG.-qs7wcnot really. They did wash. They just didn’t have deodorant. Besides, everybody smelled. Before sugar people didn’t have rotten teeth. About the only thing you’ve stated that’s half way true is lice. People did take steps to be clean as much as they could for the time period. But nobody would have noticed really.
Thank you for your well researched and interesting documentary. I would suggest it would be preferable to listen to your voice without the music in the background which is distracting for me. Otherwise, I really liked this documentary. Thank you.
Thank you so much, yes I have received that feed back a lot and have lowered the sound of the music in the background for subsequent videos, I hope you enjoyed nonetheless
Watch this riveting video to learn everything about the titillating and fascinating realm of Anglo-Saxon queens! Thrilling tales of romance, treachery, political intrigue, and power conflicts abound in the lives of these queens. The tales read like enthralling sagas and provide light on the intricate world of mediaeval politics and royal life. The unsung stories of these powerful women will captivate you because they changed the course of history. 👑✨
13:00 your map shows Wales and Cornwall as Welsh lands (in red). It seems you've forgotten the Cornish people? A linguistically and culturally separate group, although also Celtic.
Great stories. Love to see. O'Malley, the Irish prirate Queen. Burke name is my family name. Many stories of the cat on shield .🛡 A story over 2 Burke men fighting over a woman and the cat cry bungee when a Burke man dies. Stories of an old woman hiding weapons under her in a bed. I'm curious. Living in California and many stories told about the king that got away to America.
Jesse will. I think she probably had an abscess that burst. Its just frustrating that i only see her once every second night, in the shed or on my red bin, and she's completely black so i can see, AND she's always moving. Well thats good about the op, though it is frustrating that the wait is so long. I need to remember to make a gynecologist as it's been a year since my period. Hopefully one is available while I'm on leave xx
You hear about things like Helen of Troy and of love that makes one lose their mind, but I never saw an actual historical account of it until now. The guy who “stole” the king’s woman and married her himself had a pair on him. 😮
Tettenhall..."also present was her brother" Yeah, the king of Wessex and the Anglo-Saxons, with the most formidable English army....he was there too...😂
All this happening during the time of the latter Imams of the Twelver Shi'a Muslims over in Iraq. Interesting to see what was going on in different regions.
Not very clever of "Inner Vision" to show a map of Europe and the middle east while Mr Wolf is talking about Russia being the largest country by geography in the world. Perhaps "Inner Vision" doesn't know where Russia is?
