Poor Teddy gets the raw deal in this movie 1. Barely in the movie 2. Has the everliving shit scared out of him by seeing the demon 3. FUCKING BURNED ALIVE
I feel like Emma got like the worst part. She was the first to really get dragged to the air and thrown like a toy, imagine the terror, apart of while she's on her bed, she has to see all her friends getting killed one by one while not being able to do anything apart of waiting for something to happen in Halley's House or Jemma appearing
did you guys know that Redina's boyfriend is actually seen hanging in an earlier scene before being dropped later in the movie.. i think it's when she's walking thru the dining room, you can see his legs and arms hanging from the ceiling. I noticed it and it scared the shit out of me. you have to kinda look in the corner though when she's walking thru after being in the bathroom.
@@singh_theorem no they edited her walking thru the dining room out. But in the movie you cab see it when she’s leaving the bathroom and walks thru the dining room. It’s behind her. She doesn’t notice and nobody in the Skype call either.
@@singh_theorem i don't know the timestamp because the video is edited in asuch a way that scene wasn't shown..in the movie itself i have no idea cause i don't have a copy of it in front of me atm.
U ought to watch the making of this, it was done in lockdown so they are ALL in their actual own houses and they ALL did their own stunts and makeup as well. The only added professional was teddy who is a stuntman and helped build a few rigs and did the actual on fire stunt. The thing that makes it so real is the director tried where possible to not tell ANY of the cast of how each will die so there’s legitimate suprise and the actors were alone in their homes and all said they were actually scared in the filming. Thai was produced for nearly nothing and made a killing as well as the directors signed with a big production company to produce a full feature film. .
This got me thinking, what if they got it wrong on "breaking the circle"? Since the demon only attacked those who always either came back to the meeting or were still present, maybe they had to all call the meeting off at once to break the circle instead?
That's a really brilliant idea. Of course in person this ritual would require you holding hands to maintain that connection to each other, but that's what Zoom is doing in the online version. So all any of them had to do to live was sign off, but in their fear and isolation they couldn't be alone in that situation. I always figured Seylan was ejected from the circle deliberately by the demon (because she was the only one who would know what to do), but if it was accidental then this point stands really strong.
Amazing film ...should have been much bigger than it was ....I've been a fan of horror films for years so you kinda get used to them but this film scared the s**t out of me ...Great reaction 👍
The first time I saw this was on another YT movie stream, live, when it was released. It was an immediate hit with nearly everyone, and these were seasoned film aficionados. They did an amazing job on this film, especially given all the obstacles and uncommon circumstances.
I don't understand how two people who watched the iconic "Hereditary" consider "Host" to be the scariest movie, but either way, this reaction was great, amazing and fun hahahaha few reactions were completed so well with the movie they watched, it was very immersive! I've been following you since the "Midsommar" video. Hug!
This film scared me waaay more than hereditary did. Hereditary was more 'shocking' and distressing though. Thank you for your kind words as well! always appreciated!
I can see how this can be scarier though, given how realistic the Zoom format makes everything seem. Hereditary was amazing and obviously a better movie, but more disturbing than scary.
Yeah I was actually laughing by the end of Host. I dunno. It wasn’t that scary, especially the end, which I actually found funny enough to laugh at, and not in an uncomfortable way.
15:14 "Emma, turn the filters off, come on" in a slightly annoyed tone as if the filter wasn't clearly detecting the face of whatever invisible demon was standing in that room
im really stoned while watching this, and 12:15 just sent me into a hysterical laughing fit n i had to keep repeating it lllooollll brilliant editing guy edit: oh and i did watch it in the dark alone in my flat last night on my laptop lol, (well me got 2 cats, a rabbit and 2 mice so not completely alone lol) but this film made me do a mini scream lol :O its so good that i wanted to watch peoples reactions and thoughts on it
So I watched this, then I watched Grave Encounters, then I watched your reaction to Grave Encounters and then I came back to this reaction. You are so right! Jesus I was mostly depressed watching Grave Encounters. Its a good concept but it really dragged on and I was bored, I wasn't bored during this!
Well the scene of Sending Message is quite interesting though, is here anyone remembers there is one utuber once had this very similar shot by hitting the camera while she's doing the streaming, it's good to see the director just replicate this from the real-life event, but the real-life one turned out is a total trick by that utuber, if anyone has watched that before could post more here.....She's a makeup blogger, events from many years ago, I still remember that one.
On my first watch, I was relatively quiet throughout the movie despite being on edge, until 19:54 happened. It was so unexpected that I went "fff..... Uck!!!" 😂
Never heard of this movie but its great. Love ghost movies cant wait to See skinamarink!! Please make a Video from Heck...i heard its skinamarink in short and better And ...a strange thing about the johnsons is worth watching. Ari asters debu and on RU-vid
Lol jeez the start of the video got me -_- But also i hated that girl that faked it all. Just so you know faking a person can even conjure an evil spirit or more so to take onto the name. It's not funny even for a movie.
