I think it would be a lot better if the whole pillar part at ~70 didn’t have anything in it other than the pillars and the booming, the weird faces that slowly fly across the screen kinda ruin the mood imo, would be way more unsettling if it said listen closely and then nothing happened at all, even the red part at the end

The scariest fear is the one you build yourself in your mind. That said, i think it would'Ve been even more scarier if there wouldn't be any jumpscares. just the creepy ambiance and the constant feeling of getting a jumpscare.

I agree. I don't personally find it scary although it did make startle when I first watched it on mindcaps channel because of how loud it was. I guess jumpscares kinda bring me out of the horror element sometimes. I think the first jumpscare would've been plenty imo.

@@MrMr-oq5ij I thought the main inspirations were Man Man, too kiD frIEndly, and Peaceful since those were the main reason Mindcap and his team worked on this. He just thought “Goddamit these levels aren’t scary enough, I need to make a REAL scary one.”

The audio got messed up, this happens sometimes is practice mode when the audio skips ahead of gp every time u place a checkpoint forward into the level, the last jumpscare should have been synced with the sound.

fun fact: almost all of the creepy parts are inspiration from monsters out of Spooky's Jumpscare Mansion (from what I've noticed.)

Afaik the needle in the eye is the only one that's actually from spooky's, like Eric said that one face is from imscared, I think the original video mentions earthbound and a few other games as well

Nice vid, you should make more videos on these interesting levels, maybe ask somewhere or make a community post on youtube asking people to play some cool demons (not only horror). I recently rewatched your video on your top 10 Demons, and one demon I think you should play is Eternelle Vehemence (amazing atmosphere and also looks really cool), one of the best demons imo.

that's more just gore and nudity, it has a scary atmosphere but is not necessarily more scary as there are no jump scares. Still a really good and creepy level though
