Unsure, it kinda seems like it may have been something the designers of Survivors may not have thought about when they made the voice line, but I would assume the B2s did come first sometime after the phantom menace

It could be that they began producing BX commandos earlier, then designed the B2 droids as a more mass produced alternative. That would explain why their design is closer to the B1. Alternatively the B2 units were also designed around the same time, but were only revealed at Geonosis when the separatist movement was officially formed

It depends of your side. CIS planets may have seen those droids as the protectors of their independance.

He said those things were fast, but I’ve never seen any of them move at anything more an extremely slow walk. (On TV at least. In the Lego Star Wars video game, they can scuttle on their four legs horrifyingly fast.)

hmm , a decent droid force to use the basic B1 but the 'semi realism one' aka sure got a central control to enhance them but they can operate on their own and 'local network' to boost long term tactics adaptation yet i'd keep them highly 'organic sentient' though without the overly 'comedic coward' stupidity as a central control in that case could be an option to 'inspire' quite the opposite with the potential for 'reincarnation' , and then the b2 or what the 'up armoured' silver version be called , though for 'tacitcal' droids ,only the 'improved' one then the commando droids and dwarf spider ones , though i'd honestly pass up their 'larger cousins' and take crab droids instead as their chasi and 'any surface' + close quater potential when six limbed should be an potential better core for the chamelion droid concept wich also help with the minature infiltration versions cognitive talents software development and obviously most of the 'aquatic' ones just because well its a bit lack luster but need the templates just incase theres a aqua world one has to take 'intact' and of course.. BUZZ DROIDS! sure got hauler trucks etc , but those be the ones produced in swarms , be it to assist during combat , be left as 'mines' in space or just sweet battle fields like a locust swarm cutting up everything into easy to haul of salvage pieces or salvage potential software info before its scrapped!

I just had to go looking for that info myself. The 08 Clone Wars movie and the Clone Wars show are, in fact, canon according to Disney. So I'm not sure why he keeps saying it isn't. It's the 03 Clone Wars animated short series that isn't canon.
