The Schroll Coupe Gets New Custom Floors!! - 1932 Ford Coupe

Now that the body is secured to the sub rails, its time to build custom floors. After hitting our favorite scrap yard Glick's, Matt was able to grab some sheet metal to create two large floor sections. The only major obstacle is the sub rails because we will be pushing the beads down, and the floor won't lay flat if the bead intersects the sub rails. Matt needs to call in some help to pre-stretch the panel, and roll the beads in these large sections. Thankfully the Eastwood 36" Bead Roller is deep enough to handle the task! The Schroll 32 is well on its way to being back on the road this year!!!

Hey Matt and Crew That was a great team effort working that floor over. The rolled pattern in the floor is very unique and looks like it will prevent any oil canning. Just an FYI, sheet metal is always cold rolled. Hot rolling of metal is for thicker sections, such as angle, beams, columns, ingots, etc. No need to say cold rolled sheet metal. Always great videos.......

There's always a hater, who doesn't appreciate skilled metal; working craftsmanship. IMHO, Rat Rods are intentionally crappy construction, which ruins some vintage tin along the way! Nothing wrong with a smooth metal surface, with a good to excellent paint job to protect it!

This is the time you need all your mates. Very hard by yourself. That material look like sign white. Gets dirty and scratched and is useless for signs but great for tight arsed rodders! Maybe panel bond like modern cars are using? Glue it to the sub rails

Matt & crew, when you use the English wheel, this relieves the stress caused by the bead roller? I've had issues where we bead roll panels & they oil can...scroll 32 is coming along! God Bless!!
