Lately, there’s been some buzz on social media about Zyn, and it looks like the product is here to stay.
Zyn is a pouch that contains powdered nicotine (and flavors)-but no tobacco. The pouch is placed discreetly between the cheek and gum, and it releases nicotine slowly over time. People can get their dose of nicotine without smoking or vaping and without the stigma of being a smoker.
The caveat is that there’s no research history with products that contain only nicotine in powdered form. More research is needed about their effects on the soft tissues and periodontal status.
