I really like the idea that its a message of no escape Even with the 3008 songs that don't use the motif, they still sound similar to eachother, especially the day themes. The day themes have the same instruments and beats, just change up the melodies a bit.
The day themes are supposed to be like shop or ikea music its different every day but it has the same fell The night theme is the silence of the closen store it makes you fell alone The blood moon theme gives a sense of danger it makes you fell like you shouldn't be outside right now The fog day theme is about something lurking in the fog something that makes you fell uneasy about this day And the themes with the motif i think are about a greater space or thing Acrophobia is the fear of great highs Apeirophobia is the fear of infinity And the drone is depicted to be high in the sky and as big as a pilar And friday theme but crunchy just slaps
i would like to say this leitmotif *hit me* while I was playing 3008 it's a god damn holy motif, jesus it sounds so good as well you're above all the others, trying to escape even if you know you'll never be free, you are weak in the infinite IKEA it is really dramatic too
Funny thing I noticed earlier is that C418's song "shuniji" for Minecraft's 1.13 update has the same motif as Severe Acrophobia, which in a way makes sense. Both portray the same idea except inverted in a way. 1.13 was all about depth in the new detail of oceans or oceans being deep and sometimes empty in general, and Severe Acrophobia portrays height, as you said, and how it exemplifies the vast emptiness that the infinite IKEA has. or im just overthinking it idfk
The original 3008 music blew my mind the first time I heard it, I know close to nothing about music but something about the melody is very unique throughout the days of the week. I have listened to the week themes too many times to count, and they have never gotten old like most soundtracks in games or even music in general. Your music has such a special vibe, I don't think any other artist could quite match your style. Keep them coming.
This kind of video format is something I literally love to see on youtube. I don't know what it is about this burst style with audios and quips mixed in to discuss points that vary throughout the video, but I just really love this format. More please?
this small ass video got pretty damn good production quality this confirms my theory that uglyburger0 is to roblox as valve is to the gaming industry itself
I don't think I'm supposed to interact with you or anything related to you but this video is wayyy too good to not comment on, this video your narration is ,in my opinion, the best you've ever done. Also your editing (especially in the first half) made the video super fun to watch. Keep up the good work dude, also, if you can please make more videos like this.
Its so freakin beautiful. I have traveled to ceiling many a time just to hear them. Could I have just listened to them here? Sure! But there is something about that transition once you make it to 800 studs.
Fun fact: apeirophobia is a fear of something infinite, something unreachable. And acrophobia..? Well, it's just simply fear of hieghts. So yeah, together, it all makes sense.
If you really think about it, this motif is that kind of motif that can change meanings in different context. In severe acrophobia it actually means heights and also isolation (cause you went away from the people at the bottom), in apeirophobic summit it means sadness and deception, cause you went up to find a solid ceiling and basically nothing else, and in the drone theme it sounds more misterious and engaging.
Bro why do I love the apeirophobic summit music so much It’s just so fitting how you do high up in the air in this strange infinite ikea building and it plays that idk
2:38 Severe Acrophobia ( it make's me sleep) 2:50 Drone Theme Artists Rendition ( look's like a song of a god) 3:00 Apeirophobic Sumnit (it make's me sad :(
dude severe acrophobia, drone theme (artists rendition) apeirophobic summit, and the shattered reality theme all hit different when you're just staring off in to space
This motif sounds like the first bit in the song 'Roses Room' If you watch the show Steven Universe, You realize that roses room is actually a cloud the gives the feeling your in the sky. Given the fact that the answer was heights, This is a pretty awesome coincidence
It's funny, everyone talks about this motif that only comes in a song every once in a while, while nobody talks about the drum in the background of every damn daytime song. Give it more attention lol.
You can also see this same 4 note pattern in Living Mice, the minecraft soundtrack, which makes the soundtrack even more nostalgic, by riping the nostalgia from another game
My theory on the leifmotif is that it's a sound of hope in a sense. Severe Acrophobia uses this and.. it sounds happy, probably because the user is halfway to the top. The user thinks the top is the exit. So when the user reaches the top to see a ceiling, apeirophobic summit which I think is the one song to signal there is no hope, uses a very sorrow melody of the noise. In a comment on the Drone theme song it says that the song may resemble a tiny sliver of hope, since the drone flew in, there must be a way out.. right? And I agree with it. But notice in that song it is upbeat and not sorrowful. That's my take on the piece
i think of it as a "you will hear his forever, ad it will drive you crazy. no escape" and since your so high and in the one shattered area it could also mean "you shouldn't be here" its such a anxiety raising sound
What if every death stinger/melody had their own theme Heights: taunting version of THE motif Employee: normal death theme Employee(blood): idk metal version of normal death Employee(foggy):orchestral version of normal Food: i honestly don't know Hubert: short trolololo cover Harold: no idea King: short rickroll cover
Imma take my sort of early moment to ask about the player kicked messages in 3008.I remember when my sis got kicked 3 times one day from my vip server (i wasnt kicking her + she was the only other person and i solidly know she didnt kick herself ) and the messages read stuff like “Look behind you” or somethin along “I’m watching you” someone explain that this is just a dumb joke below and imma give her your reply lmao
depends when this was. If I’m not wrong, if it was during early April, then that was just April fools messages. For your sister, idk, probably something she’s doing
*_Drone theme..._* *_In someone's words or mine..._* *_Welcome to the Void, where you can wish to sleep forever, play forever, die forever, or create and destroy FOREVER... Just know you can't leave, nor die... FOREVER._*
Guys... There's no escape from the motif, and no escape from questions either. Why on earth would he tell us the meaning if we don'tt even know the meaning of life?
@@uglyburger0 Should I be surprised you even took note of this comment??? Anyway, let me tell you about Homestuck. It's a long-ass webcomic created in 2009, April 13 and ended on April 13, 2016. It's a tale about a boy and his friends who play a game on his 13th birthday, it's got 8000+ pages and basically the story escalates from a bunch of 13 year olds who played a game, to ending the universe, to achieving godhood, to breaking the 4th wall whenever it can, and eventually to creating 1 universe to compensate for the destruction of 3. It's a lot to take in and it's quite lengthy but it's got good worldbuilding. The four kids are all named John Egbert (the birthday boy), Rose Lalonde, Dave Strider, and Jade Harley. They're all a bunch of screwed-up teens who get trolled by 12 internet trolls (who turn out to be actual alien trolls from the future/past), the true individuals who created the universe our four main characters live in. They're the stars of the show because of how...interesting their worldbuilding is and their biology/physiology
your game is amazing and all, but one minus. people that ruin bases (i was making a base that took me 4-3 hours and i went afk for a moment and then 2 girls came in and started collecting my food, renovating the base and ruining the roof. when night came the base was so ruined that the employees came in and killed me🙁
