Yeah, that thing sounds sick. I think they make a guitar pedal Plasma too, but that module has so many options, even putting just that single module in a housing might be worth it just to use with a semi modular set up.
@@HIFI1965Any Elektron has this for mutes, from the Machinedrum and Monomachine to the newer boxes. Pretty cool to cue up your mutes, then you do a buildup or break, let go off the function button and bamm!
Metal seems like it's meant for making cymbals. With the addition of a VCA. Same for the last 3 banks, it's basically noise sources for sound designing, I guess.
Oh! I had no idea this was a complete synth voice. I'd seen the guitar pedals, so I thought this was just a filter/drive. To be honest I haven't touched the other videos about this Eurorack module, because I assumed it'd be exactly the same as the guitar pedals. Goes to show, what they say about assuming is true :) Gamechanger Audio clearly understand that this needs to be more than just a guitar pedal in a different box.
The way I understand it, it's sort of working as a lossy, character-rich dac. It's modulated by digital waves, chosen by each bank + sound, and results in analog voltage.
