Exactly....love all the flashbulbs going off in the crowd, which is just another part of the past that's sadly no longer present.....so much better than 50,000 people holding up phones all at once nowadays.
Wow..... I think, to a musician, when you sing in front of a crowd that large that sings with you... that like.. life acomplished. I think in this physical life that is all I would ever want, screw everything else. Lol
I was at this concert, it was one of the best nights of my life. They are an example of real musicians, who write their own music, play their own instruments, it's hard to find that now in the music industry
Omg I know this is 2 years late but completely agree. Danny is great but when he's doing other stuff put the camera on Glen or Mark shredding the guitar. All of them together is just too amazing.
This Band is the only one who has great meanings on their songs mostly of this generation doesn't matter what the song is really about but the script is really the best
what i love about his live voice is the pitch is a tad bit higher and his vocals sound so much softer and sweeter like it touches my soul even more lord.
Believe me now... Nobody and i mean NOBODY else in the world can hit those same notes Danny can! Im stiiiiiiill in love with this song, this album, the band as a whole paints the perfect picture to portray my life so far. Listening to The Script till the day I die!
I can feel the energy and power through the screen. I can't imagine what it'd be like to have actually been there in person. Had to have been a g.d. spiritual experience.
the only thing better than hearing The Script live is hearing the crowd sing along so passionately! hopefully someday i get to see The Script in concert!!! their songs are so relatable
I don't know how many bands that perform to crowds this large remain so humble. I met the guys last month, and they were so thankful for the support! Love them!
Listening to the crowd singing gives me chills. They have such big fans. I would love to be in the crowd someday. Please come to Indonesia. You also have bunch of lovely fans here!!!
I love this song! And I love how everyone was so into it. The crowd was singing back and everyone was jumping around like crazy! It was awesome! I wish I was there!
This is one of my favorites from the Science and Faith album..Danny clearly has an amazingly beautiful voice..he sounds the same live as he does on the CD...
Honestly owe my life to this band, their music was there for me at my deepest moments (suicidal thoughts), still sad that I haven’t had a chance to see them live
wow i used to watch this performance almost everyday. I missed listening to The Script..idk why i ever stopped..will for sure listen to them again. They're amazing.
[Verse 1] Am I better off dead? Am I better off a quitter? They say I'm better off now Than I ever was with her As they take me to my local down the street I'm smiling but I'm dying trying not to drag my feet They say a few drinks will help me to forget her But after one too many I know that I'll never Only they can’t see where this is gonna end They all think I'm crazy but to me it's perfect sense [Chorus] And my mates are all there trying to calm me down 'Cause I'm shouting your name all over town I'm swearing if I go there now I can change her mind, turn it all around And I know that I'm drunk but I’ll say the words And she'll listen this time even though they’re slurred So I, dialed her number and confessed to her I'm still in love but all I heard Was nothing (nothing, nothing, nothing) [Verse 2] So I stumble there, along the railings and the fences I know if we're face to face then she'll come to her senses Every drunk step I take leads me to her door If she sees how much I'm hurting, she'll take me back for sure [Chorus] And my mates are all there trying to calm me down 'Cause I'm shouting your name all over town I'm swearing if I go there now I can change her mind, turn it all around And I know that I'm drunk but I’ll say the words And she'll listen this time even though they’re slurred So I, dialed her number and confessed to her I'm still in love but all I heard Was nothing (nothing, nothing) She said nothing (nothing, nothing) Oh, I wanted words but all I heard was nothing Oh, I got nothing (nothing, nothing) I got nothing (nothing, nothing) Oh, I wanted words but all I heard was nothing Ohh, sometimes love's intoxicating Ohh, you're coming down, your hands are shaking When you realize there's no one waiting Am I better off dead? Am I better off a quitter? They say I'm better off now Than I ever was with her [Chorus] And my mates are all there trying to calm me down 'Cause I'm shouting your name all over town I'm swearing if I go there now I can change her mind, turn it all around And I know that I'm drunk but I’ll say the words And she'll listen this time even though they’re slurred So I, dialed her number and confessed to her I'm still in love but all I heard Was nothing (nothing, nothing) She said nothing (nothing, nothing) Oh, I wanted words but all I heard was nothing Oh, I got nothing (nothing, nothing) I got nothing (nothing, nothing) Oh, I wanted words but all I heard was nothing Oh, I got nothing (nothing, nothing, nothing) I got nothing [x3]
Excellent song....really surprised this didn't make it much higher in the charts...in fact I don't think it even charted over here in the U.S. at the time, oddly enough, although I do remember hearing it.
